Armani Privé And Roberto Cavalli Dresses For The Cannes 2009 Red Carpet

Last year I was completely in awe about Cate Blanchett’s dresses for the 61st edition of the Cannes Film Festival. Her Armani Privé dresses suited her wonderfully for the Cannes events.

For Cannes 2009, the 62nd edition of the Film Festival, Armani Privé dresses still go strong on the Red Carpet. For the opening of the prestigious Film Festival, the ladies of the jury worked their best Armani Privé looks for the Red Carpet. (the story continues right after the jump with more pictures!)

Isabelle Hupert chose a beautiful flower-lacey nude number from the Spring 2009 Armani Privé collection. As ethereal as she might wanted it to be, I don’t find it suitable for Isabelle’s complexion and stature.

Elizabeth Banks was perfectly glamorous in a classic way wearing her bright red Armani Privé dress from the same Spring 2009 collection. She might look like a half-unwrapped Christmas present, but she has the right look for the Red Carpet.

Asia Argento loves pockets dresses! After wearing a shorter, cocktail white dress with black details and pockets for the Jury Call, Asia Argento brings pockets on the Red Carpet. She had her share of Armani Privé Spring 2009 with a bold printed dress for the opening of the Cannes Film Festival, matched with shoes from the same collection. Bref, she brought the catwalk on the Red Carpet.

As for Shu Qi, she was perfectly lovely with her blue Roberto Cavalli dress, not too ostentatious, not too glitzy, there’s nothing I can say against her and her Red Carpet appearance for the Cannes Film Festival opening! Aishwarya Rai also went for Roberto Cavalli, wearing a white bride-like-gown for the Up movie premiere at the opening of the Cannes Film Festival 2009.
