Right Said Fred I’m Too Sexy

Today’s Friday Break is a perfect classic, almost like George Michael’s Freedom ’90. Released in the same period, I’m Too Sexy from Right Said Fred revolves around Fashion so I couldn’t overlook it.

Perfectly nineties, perfectly trendy, this Right Said Fred I’m Too Sexy was re-released in 2007. (you can find the newer version of the song/video right after the jump, as well as information about the song and the band) I’m a model, you know what I mean! Enjoy!

Right Said Fred was formed two years before the release of the sensational I’m Too Sexy. The two brothers (Richard Fairbrass and Fred Fairbrass) who named their 1989-formed band after a song by Bernard Cribbins based their huge hit I’m Too Sexy on an instrumental guitar riff from Jimi Hendrix “Third Stone from the Sun”.

The ’91 hit (from the album Up) was followed by another smashing success “Don’t Talk Just Kiss” in 1992. More singles were released over the years (one of them, “You’re My Mate” was used as official anthem of the South African national rugby union team in 2002) and now they’ve come up with a new album called I’m a Celebrity (2008).
