I came across these pictures today: Pamela Anderson ad campaign for Vivienne Westwood Spring Summer 2009 finally revealed (after that Art Basel Miami teaser)!
Looking at the pictures I can’t decide if I should just run and hide or simply take pride on Juergen Teller’s fashionable work with one of the world’s most recognizable and controversial faces.
Pamela Anderson, Vivienne Westwood (and Dame Viv’s husband Andreas Kronthaler) look like having fun making this campaign. The pictures could very well be holidays photos since there’s no pressure in showing off the clothes or the model’s marketing capacities. Yes, it looks like they have fun for real. That’s the only positive thing I see.
I really don’t know what to think about it as a campaign? Is it a fashion cliché on “white trash” or “metal-rock” on the road or what?
What is Mr. Kronthaler’s job in real life besides being Vivienne’s husband? He’s not a guitar-player, that’s obvious!
And Pam, I’ve a weak spot for her but its fading since she was here (the Netherlands) to assist magician Hans Klok…….
I’ve read Dame Vivienne’s former partner Malcolm McLaren is working on a musical on Christian Dior! A musical? A dancing and singing Christian Dior?
Maybe that is what they are going for a white-trash/rock and roll lifestyle? They should have taken some of the photos at a monster truck rally and at the next Wrestlemania!
As for the layout its certainly not run of the mill!
Adriana, I thought that you liked Pamela because she was assisting Hans Klok, why the change of heart in regards to her?
Errmm, I wrote “white trash” and “metal-rock” between the “quote-???” (cannot come up with the word). There’s a lot of prejudice and so on about these…..sighs…..
I’ve still a weak spot for Pam. I was aiming at her supportive friendship for Hans in Las Vegas which was a great help and joy for him. Though some months ago she came over to the Netherlands and I felt embarrassed how she behaved and was dressed for Hans’ sake!
Being a bombshell like she is, despite she’s also a nice person, becomes pathetic at a certain point. And that point is here now I suppose?
looks like a crazy drunken party
dont understand why a designer would want that imagery
