Headbands are a great fashion statement it appears. Mischa Barton wears them, so they’ve got to be a smashing style hit. Right?
Now you may be pleased to know that Mischa Barton not only wears those headbands but she also designs them. For Stacey Lapidus (former accessories editor chez Vanity Fair, now a full time designer). Mischa Barton, you know, that blonde with blue eyes who’s more famous for her dimpled thighs, DUI arrests than for her acting performances is indeed a working comedian and she has not one but two movies coming up next. But first there’s fashion, thus she continues her handbag line (now at her third season), planning to add more on the embellishment/embroidery level and now her designer self expands to headbands. Six pieces with prices from $80 to $200.
Advertising for her own headbands, Mischa wears a t-shirt..ahem dress, one shouldered, black… I don’t really see the connection between her headband style and that dress, but maybe it’s just me. Could you wear a headband like Misha’s? Is there really a demand for this kind of accessories? (via wwd)

I like Misha and I do think she’s pretty and gives great interviews BUT the headbands are utterly ridiculous!

I agree with Adriana and wonder myself how many of these so called designer celebs actually know how to sew a botton or draw and cut out a pattern.And I’m looking at YOU Kayne West and Kate Perry! Yep I read she’s going to do a line of clothes too as she thinks she has a (self proclaimed)style that appeals to young girls.Hum.
Oh, a clothing line?! You know what? I love headbands! She should absolutely stick to headbands! Hippie sparkling headbands! That way we’re safe, we, the 99,9% of the world, we, the 99,9% who don’t buy Mischa’s headbands! But a clothing line? It’s like that Perez collection massive flop-thing!

Sewing a button, you say? I wonder if they even know that people can actually sew! I bet they imagine (all those fancy celeb designers) that sewing is only done by super-machines, programmed as such and in complete charge with a product from the raw form up until it reaches the Haute-couture stage of its life!
