Lydia Hearst For Myla Lingerie

What could convince you to buy lingerie? Besides the actual need and the obvious measurement judging and choosing, what could get you into spending more for acquiring underwear?

If ads campaigns are among your reasons for buying lingerie, here’s an interesting one: Lydia Hearst for Myla. What’s Myla? A lingerie brand that could ring a bell if you were watching SATC – Samantha once worn the Freshwater pearl G-string. Aside from that, Myla London is the world’s best selling lingerie brand per square foot. (Interesting way to measure one’s market success!) (more pictures after the jump)

Other than Myla, if you find the name Hearst familiar is not something strange. Media subjects in every way, the Hearsts continue to intrigue and shock. The first in the spotlight was baron William Randolph, the media mogul who inspired Orson Welles’ Citizen Kane, the last in the spotlight was Lydia, elected Supermodel of the World, Patty’s daughter. Who’s Patty Hearts? Well, a spoiled little rich girl turned into terrorist when she joined the guerrilla group that kidnapped her. Doesn’t all this make you buy lingerie all of a sudden? Ad campaigns are never a reason for me to buy lingerie/underwear. I buy it when I need or desire some new pieces. And then I go to certain shops in my own home-town….

About Patricia Hearst, saw her lately in ‘Serial Mom’ when its was on tv and reviewed it, I’ve been always been fascinated in a way with this kidnapping….some people are convinced she had really turned into a terrorist….others think she’s was brainwashed by her kidnappers. Which is possible too. Only Patricia Hearst herself knows the truth I think.
That daughter looks a lot like her mother by the way.

A friend has send me in a mail of late a kind of list with things that annoys her a lot at the moment. She asked me to make such a list too. A bit of girly fun….One thing on my list was this trend with the offspring of celebs that becomes famous, or style icons, or a celeb too because of their name only …and here’s another one….

I buy new frillies when I feel the need to add some sparkle to my underneath. I am not attracted to adverts for undies though, but I find that I do stick with certain brands/lines.
I also agree with Adriana about celebrity offspring. I cannot stand the idea that they become famous, just because they have a famous parent, and they try to vie some sort of trade out of that.
I could name a bunch of them that work my last nerve, but it is Sunday and I like to think happy thoughts! :)

Adriana, I also read about Patricia who was thought to have been brainwashed by her kidnappers but I think it was just a lawyer smart move to get her away with everything… Who knows, like you said… Only her! Maybe like mother, like daughter.. and one day we’ll witness Lydia gone mad.

I think it’s all that money mounting to their rich heads…

Ellington, just curious (I don’t fall for adverts either when it comes to undies.. I have just few models that really fit me and I remain faithful to the brand that suits me best) – you never (or never consider) felt for Wonderbra? (those ads with Eva?) – I confess I would’ve fell for that!
