Would you pay $36,099 for a Levi’s? Sounds crazy, I know, but let me just say that this is no ordinary Levi’s Jeans! It’s an authentic vintage! 100 years old!
So why would you buy a pair of jeans that was found in a mine in California? Because vintage is so in? Because skinny is so last season and because the boyfriend slouchy jeans is the die-for right now? The Levi’s sold for the astronomic price of $36,099 (three hours ago, the bid was $18,300) so someone go to actually be the lucky most fashionable owner of a 100 years old Levi’s jeans! Is this justified? Would you go that far in the name of fashion? Or it’s just another collector story and the pair will proudly end up in someone’s vintage trophy room?

No, I would not pay that much, but I could see a museum with a textile and fashion collection purchasing them.
That is utter lunacy, I tell ya. Unless the buyer is a museum curator, of course.
I do agree with the former posters.
A museum is the best place for this orginal working man’s clothes which ended up as fashion’s biggest invention ever!
