I’m imagining that even when the advertised product is a brand, it’s still a product. And that advertising needs a message. A message that’s supposed to make you buy that product even if you don’t need it.
How about Marc Jacobs Advertising lately? At first it was surprising. And funny. Now it’s boring and gross. Well, someone pulled a bad joke on this billboard from Murly Square, West Village Manhattan so now it’s cut in half, we’ll never know why those two pictured up there look so…ahem…happy! Maybe looking from waist down we would have had a chance to understand Marc. Jacobs.
