Now if we were already used to seeing Angelina Jolie wearing dramatically high leg slits before, even we, didn’t see this coming! Angelina Jolie, ladies and gents, is fiercely showing some leg in her black strapless velvet dress from Atelier Versace (she’s stealing all the attention from her beau, Brad Pitt, who was nominated for Best Actor Award).
She is, undoubtedly, a very beautiful woman, but Angelina’s posing on the 2012 Oscars Red Carpet may have just let us know that good ol’ party girl Angie is not completely buried under deep layers of charity and motherhood. I wasn’t really charmed by her red lipstick, thought (yes, I know it’s a must wear this year, but still… Angelina’s features are already too striking as it is, why put on the red lights? hit the jump for more images; click here for the gallery!) We had Dutch tweets during the commercials. One said: “give all that popcorn to Angelina please? please?”…..I’m at breakfast, join a bite Angie… and then I go off to sleep after I finished eating since it’s 6.30am….:)
This is not one of my fave dresses or looks not bad either though. I think the was red lipstick too much this time. Looked great on Mara Rooney though in her white Givency. There were some real, real great dresses…. Tomorrow comments…pfff…that was the most enjoyable Oscar night since years…see you later….so good night US, good morning Europe. :)
What was with the unnatural pose of the leg sticking out? Very awkward – IMO. Beautiful but very boring – we have seen it all before.
keiKo, here or at stage or both? For the one at stage we had a several jokes. Because we bursted out in some good laughs. Sorry Angelina fans…..Billy Crystal called her “the original girl with the dragon tattoo” we yelled something like “oh, look the mother of the Cullens!” and some more I shall spare you.
Because the winners made a good joke of it since she was a presenter. Typical that only non-actors, winners in other categories are far more fun than actors.
This is a really a beautiful dress. No doubts. But look at her legs, that knee..ewwww…what was she thinking? Cover Angelina… pleazzzzzzz…
Hahahah, I was not really awake and also not 100% sober due to some nice prosecco….but I stick to my comment about that leg and being too skinny! What did she want to proof? I meant the way she did at stage….*shakes head*

I think Angie made a very rare faux pas with constant posing! But I sure did get a laugh out of it. And speaking of Rooney Mara – someone needs to tell her that Liz Salender is a character not the real her. She looked frightful – pale, skinny & uninspiring. (I am pale & skinny too.)
Sure we had some good laughs about that Jolie woman interrupted and ready for her close up!
That’s a good point there; but I still love Rooney’s dress and she’s definitely NOT the new Audrey Hepburn. (As I heard or read…am not sure anymore?)
