Maggie Gyllenhaal’s dress choice for the 2010 Oscars Red Carpet was one of the most daring of the night. However, that doesn’t stop us from seeing that it’s a really beautiful one and Maggie chose wisely!

Magically matching her eyes and also being signed by her de coeur, Dries Van Noten’s Fall 2010 dress (slightly adjusted and customized), Maggie’s dress is my favorite of the night. (Maggie chose Dries Van Noten not just because it’s her favorite designer, but also because her wedding dress was carrying the same signature – and her husband, Peter Sarsgaard was wearing his wedding tux at tonight’s Oscars Ceremony! #2 Adriana on 03.08.10 at 10:15 am: Yes! I wrote earlier Kate Winslet’s YSL is my fave but I’ve two faves: this one too. It was a nice surprise when we saw only the hem and the camera got and higher and we screamed: “WOW!”
Maggie is walking elegance. Love her as an actress and her fashion sense. I love the original dress alot too.
Such a lovely couple these two. Together with the 33 years married couple Mrs. and Mr. Bridges. Nice. :))
#3 Rob Schneider rules on 03.08.10 at 7:59 pm: I just don’t think it’s elegant enough for the Oscars – it looks like a sarong or a beach towel. Good on her for trying to be different but I think it’s more suitable for the beach than the Academy Awards

Unless a lot of maybe more red carpet suited dresses: Maggie Gyllenhaal is walking elegance herself. Even a beach towel or a sarong, which I consider very feminine and elegant would suit her. Wow, ever seen a great sarong made from the best fabrics? And for sure you’ve to know how to move in a sarong.
