Chloë Sevigny for UT Uniqlo Project Campaign 2008
March 14th, 2008 by kpriss
How about some good news about Chloë Sevigny? Missed her? I know I didn’t, however giving that she’s a busy little bee, she gets her tail needle everywhere.
UT Project is a fashion statement initiative originated by Uniqlo, a Japanese (went American) clothing brand. For those of you interested in going global, here’s the info: Uniqlo is a brand of Fast Retailing (among the top 10 speciality apparel retailers worldwide). Joining the Babyboom Trend – Tom Ford to be a Daddy?
March 14th, 2008 by kpriss
He’s one of most charismatic males I’ve seen. Ever. And because life has it’s mysterious ways, he’s not a ladies man.
Tom Ford, the designer par excellence is looking for that fulfillment every woman seeks her entire life – parenthood. Being such a professional in his line of work I guess it implies being a little selfish and mean once in a while:
“It will be biologically mine. I mean, I’m a lot younger. If things follow their natural order he’ll [Richard] probably leave the planet ahead of me and I can’t not have had something I’ve wanted forever. I’ve always wanted kids.
I don’t want to get to 75 years old and just have made a lot of dresses, done some houses.”

H & M Marimekko Collection Spring 2008
March 14th, 2008 by kpriss
Finally some good news! Finally some qualified designer work hitting the high street fashion stores!
And it looks good too! I’m not the H & M buyer par excellence. Sincerely, if I’m faced with a choice, I’d go for Gap (for the entire family!), but that doesn’t stop me from filling up my wardrobe with H & M, Divided or Logo (I still cry over my special pair of velour pants from the Karl Lagerfeld Collection at H & M that I haven’t been able to stroll around this year because of my pregnancy).
Friday Break – Beyond the Sea by Robbie Williams from Finding Nemo
March 14th, 2008 by kpriss
I can’t even remember how many times I sang this little piece from the credits of Finding Nemo (which I dearly hope you’ve seen too)
One time I even dared recording my own performance. I was outraged and beyond convinced that my promising career as a successful singer is going to be a smashing hit behind the shower curtain only! Today I thought about this piece and showing it to you because pregnant women are supposed to be peaceful and keep their head occupied with sweet things so please, make some room in your head for sweetness (and record your performance, lyrics provided under the video – let me know how’s your career sound!).
Enjoy!

Did you have your wedding yet? How was it? How do you wanted to be?
As for me (with the almost white wedding dress), for very long time I wasn’t so convinced a white wedding would be a good idea – a traditional wedding looks somehow overrated these days and there were moments when believing in those values was just hard, however, being that I’m living a fairytale now, I went for full rights and had the fairytale wedding too.
I Am Paul McCartney and I Am a Vegetarian

I always watched, completely fascinated, how people share themselves in various groups.
The idea of “I am X and I am an (something, anything)” raised a big question mark for me, as in would I ever do it if facing a similar situation? And I believe I would, being a very important part in the healing process, understanding and accepting your situation. However, I also believe that it’s important you achieve this awareness in a certain environment, where intimacy and comprehension are at home and where proper reaction and assistance are provided.
Marks & Spencer Wins $600, 000 Trial Against Grape Slipped Accountant
March 13th, 2008 by kpriss
(Or some things happen only in America!) May not be your regular fashion-post, but it’s all funny and we could use a bit of amusement at any moment!
Alexander Martin-Sklan, a 55 years accountant sued Marks & Spencer after slipping on a grape and injuring himself (ruptured quadriceps, adverse psychological effects and depression due to the 2004 incident) for more than $600, 000.
Rachel’s Bilson Edie Rose Collection for DKNY
March 13th, 2008 by kpriss
Why do we need designers anymore? Why all that fuss with catwalks, Project Runway, haute couture? We’ll always have tv/movie stars to draw our clothes for us!
Fashion’s on a celebrity-spree – Rachel Bilson is doing a line for DKNY Jeans. I don’t really know why skinny model-talk is focused on the catwalk only. While the runway seems to gain a few pounds, the street reinstates the skinny reign – Rachel Wilson is one of the underweighted-is-good activists not so convincing in her acting career so she’s quickly checking other possibilities: fashion designer is the first on the list!
