And here we are at the last part of the series “Models before and after makeup”. Let’s see the seven beauties ending this little experiment.

Google Search Haute Couture Style
May 3rd, 2008 by kpriss
I’m guessing not far from now, customization will become the new must for internet or whatever else. That is, of course, if we could doom the comfort religion out of our heads and think original. Original is good. Original is satisfactory. Original is a healthy exercise for your brain!
However, let’s not brainwash the masses (yet!) and enjoy the privilege of knowing things are moving forward in the customization field – Google innovates, people follow (let’s hope so).
iGoogle is the tune, Haute Couture is the dance.
Diane Von Furstenberg, Oscar de la Renta, Dolce & Gabbana, Tory Burch, Marc Ecko and some other big names, outside fashion industry (Jackie Chan, Anne Geddes, Lance Armstrong, the Beastie Boys) imagined some new prints or offered some of their already well known prints to iGoogle design options page.
I wonder how would it be to click Google Search on a Chanel splash…

M.I.A Clothing Collection
May 3rd, 2008 by kpriss
When I saw the Longchamp ads with Kate Moss sporting some shiny leggings, I thought we would be facing a mass invasion of those shiny leggings…
I wasn’t completely wrong. Disco-stylee is still going strong. Latest in the celeb-turned-designer line is Sri Lankan rapper M.I.A (Maya Arulpragasam). Since her confession goes
“With my stuff, because everything’s really bright, if you lose it or someone steals it, you can see it from miles away and you can be like, ‘Oy! Give me my shirt back!'”,
I doubt we’re in for a dull ride. But then again, it’s hard to believe we could be taking M.I.A clothing line into a regular office-going wardrobe. Unless you’re up for a subversive party in your lunch break…

Kate Moss Takes The Wedding Dark Side For Agent Provocateur
May 3rd, 2008 by kpriss
I usually don’t refer to myself as a deeply romantic kind of person. I like to believe (and so I’ve been told to be) that I’m more of a realistic, practical person.
Not too classic either, not to edgy, rather normal (and as dull as some may see it, normality is bliss!) and judging, through my perspective, is a matter of applied experience. And judging this advertising campaign (that I announced you in an earlier post) is resuming my good will to “what was thaaaat?”. At first I wanted to take things on the artsy side.
Bruno Torfs Fantasy Sculpture Garden Tour
May 2nd, 2008 by kpriss
Who is Bruno Torf? He’s an artist, born in South America and moved to Australia after traveling Europe up and down, wanting to bring his dream to life.
The Victorian village of Marysville (95 km from Melbourne) was the perfect place to develop Bruno’s wish to create a sculpture garden. He bought a property (including a generous piece of sub-alpine forest) and after five months of hard work, he opened to the public Bruno’s Art & Sculpture Garden.
Besides having a gallery with 200 artworks (paintings, sketches and small sculptures) from allover Europe, the garden had fifteen life sizes sculptures. That was then, this is now – over 115 pieces and constantly adding.
Agyness Deyn Covers Vogue UK June 2008
May 2nd, 2008 by kpriss
Agyness pulls a baby look for the cover of UK Vogue for June. Not very clear what she was told to express, but it was most likely in the range of dumb-blonde-expression.
I wonder if that was in any way related with her gardenish – carouselish – looking necklace! If I had a salad hanging’round my neck, I’d probably do an innocent “It wasn’t me!” face as well. Clearly she’s sitting because of the high heeled Givenchy sandals, but still, let’s try and solve the mystery of that look, shall we?

Friday Break – Mary Poppins Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious Song
May 2nd, 2008 by kpriss
Just for your ears delight and your legs moving without your consent, here’s a cheerful tune I’m sure all of you have (at least) heard talking about.
Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious Song from 1964 Mary Poppins film, magically interpreted by Julie Andrews is one little piece of art I’d sing at and for any age. Of course the lyrics are posted just after the clip. Feel free to sing along, it’s (as usual) therapeutic!

Not long ago I told you the magical story behind Heidi Klum’s designer career at Jordache Jeans.
Well, today I come with images to support that special story of a special talent – opening your wardrobe to a team of professionals who gets to pick out some pieces and reproduce them as such for the company’s benefits and your own, of course. She’s not second highest paid model for nothing our Heidi, is she? Well now, off you go delight your eyes with exclusive pieces from Heidi Klum’s Jordache Jeans Collection launched yesterday at Bloomingdale’s.
Refreshingly new perspectives and invigorating creative lines, right? Long live the celeb-turned-designers!
