Military Trend Goes Chic With Sophie Hulme

To tell you the truth, I look at this bow-coat and ask myself why I liked it in the first place! It was an instant “WOW!” effect when first laying eyes on the picture!

Now I’m saying it’s not a big deal.. it’s on the back of the coat, wouldn’t enjoy it so much even if I had it…. And still… What can I do? I like iiit!!!
Part of the Sopie Hulme Collection said to “take strong, hard military clothing and make it beautiful and luxurious” the bow trench catch my eye and then I took a closer look and decided to bring you few more items I found interesting.

Tilda Swinton In Prada At Met Gala

Tilda, darling, I’m looking deep in your golden haloed eyes and I still don’t feel convinced to not run and hide when I lower my eyes and see your dress!

It may be Prada, it may be matched to your shoes buckles, even matches your makeup and seeing you like that makes me think deeply at my grandmother’s bed cover. And that orange star brooch and matching ring, I promise, they look so much like the underbrush, I can’t understand what they’re doing strapped to that lace-number you got there (is there a vegan message they carry?)… Anyway, if you get a word of my troubles in understanding your outfit, let me know what was in your head when putting that outfit together like you did, until then, you’re my worst dressed for the Met Gala.
Ta-dah!

PS – you know what? next time you do a Red Carpet, please wear one of your Narnia outfits. Or Constantine. You see, I’m a big fan…

Eva Longoria and Dita Von Teese In Marchesa At The Met Gala

My favorite dress from the Met Costume Institute Gala was the purple Marchesa worn by Eva Longoria. Maybe I’m just old-fashioned, maybe I just like dresses looking like shredded paper, but this dress really catches my eye.

The other Marchesa Girl is Dita Von Teese, snow-white-skin, comme d’habitude. Not really a fan of her outfit, but Dita has her own style, regardless of trends and fashion.

Beyonce In Armani For The Met Gala

I guess Beyonce is stuck forever with that mermaid look. This time she did another Armani! The pale siren not only got her curvy body on the Red Carpet showing everyone there’s no need to speculate on those pregnancy rumors, but she also got to treat herself with a no hairdo.

Defying all age obstacles, Beyonce managed a brilliant, effortlessly ugly granny look. Is that what marriage is all about for you, girl?

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen In Diane Von Furstenberg At The Met Gala

Meet the Good, The Bad, and The Ugly in Met’s Version : The Good – Diane Von Furstenberg ,the good designer who thought her dresses will bring out the best in the twins.

The Bad – One Olsen Bad Dressed in Black. The Ugly – One Olsen Dressed in Gold. Looking at them I can’t decide what evil power blinds two normal, beautiful, rich girls into dressing and looking like hoes.

Katie Holmes In Armani At The Met Costume Institute Gala

You know, Katie, when someone’s dressing you up, doesn’t mean you have to put up to all he/she wants! Par exemple this red dress you’re wearing there… Didn’t your hotel room have any mirrors at all? Even if it’s Armani, you can still say “No! I refuse to wear that horrifying dress!”

Little Red Riding Hood stepped on Cinderella’s Blue Shoes. What was in your head, lovely? We all know you’re tall, but didn’t Tom the Little told you what color your shoes are? You could’ve been the star of the soiree if it was the Brazilian Carnival…Well, what a waste!

Gisele Bundchen In Versace For The Met Gala

UPDATE: You can see the latest pictures from the Met Gala here.

When you have a great body, why cover it up? Gisele’s surely not covering or hiding her willowy best paid model self.

For the Met’s Costume Institute Gala, Gisele Bundchen had a breathtaking backless Versace dress. It’s her business to look stunning, so she did! I have no objections for this one!

Diane Kruger’s Feretti At The Met Gala

Armured-like dressed, my favorite model turned actress, Diane Kruger chose a Feretti grey number for the Met Red Carpet.

60es inspired look, she matched the silver dress with pink open toe killer high heels and pink manicure. It’s a grey-silver-ish night at the Costume Institute Gala, strapless or one shoulder decorated dresses take the lead in the safe choices arena. I admit I’ve seen Diane Kruger better Red-Carpet-dressed
