Jourdan Dunn Is The New Naomi Campbell?
September 21st, 2008 by kpriss
Naomi Campbell’s retirement is no secret to anyone. She’s made it clear, repeatedly, that she only stayed that long because of the overall white catwalks.
She who was supported by her fellow supermodels back in the days, the girls refusing a catwalk appearance unless Naomi came along, is preparing herself for a gracious career as a mother. Rumors about who will get to wear the Naomi crown started to fly from all four corners of the fashuniverse.
After the Fashion for Relief charity catwalk auction, Chanel Iman was suspected to be the chosen one. She appeared alongside Naomi, wearing the same Azzedine Alaia dress as Naomi’s, in white. Well, this time, for the Issa show, part of the London Fashion Week, Naomi flanked the designer Daniella Issa Helayel on one side and on the other all smiles and braids was none the other but Jourdan Dunn.
Who’s the next Naomi, then? Do you think she should have a contest-show “The Next Naomi” and choose a fresh face?

Lazy Sunday Afternoon…
September 21st, 2008 by kpriss
I was thinking about something witty to join this picture into an easy Sunday moment. But, in the blink of an eye, all the laziness pictured in there traveled all those billion pixels got an indisputable hold of me.
So instead of being witty, I’m plain Sunday spirited, without hiding my admiration for those wildcats up there. They look so happy together, so timelessly peaceful, I can’t hold back a smile. Enjoy this perfectly lazy picture and have a perfectly lazy moment! (oh, and click the picture for a larger-lazy-image!)
Meet Agyness Deyn, A Walking Fashion Disaster!
September 20th, 2008 by kpriss
If you tell me this girl can pull anything and still look every inch a beauty and style icon, think again after looking at this picture.
Looking Clown-ish and smiling her ears off, Agyness tries to convince us that her Heidi looks are fashionable and her pink socks are the next big hit in style. Along with her see through football-printed dress. Thank Heaven for those flowers! At least that looks beautiful in this picture! Do you think this is a beautiful mix and a gorgeous outfit head to toes?

Juliette Lewis For Rebecca Minkoff Holiday 2008
September 20th, 2008 by kpriss
What’s about Juliette Lewis height, bright colored looking gorgeous and fashionista worthy?
Rebecca Minkoff’s Holiday 2008 collection! I won’t even begin to say how strange Juliette Lewis seems to me, posing for a handbag line! I’ll just stick with “straaaange”. Not to mention she’s wearing something humanly possible, normal, feminine! Anyway, Rebecca Minkoff’s 2008 Holiday bags are truly beautiful. Altogether, piled like that! If you take them one by one, there would be something missing… Juliette Lewis! Do you think her face will sell those bags?

Naomi Campbell’s Fashion For Relief 2009
September 19th, 2008 by kpriss
Naomi Campbell can be surprising at times. Fighting with her violent and questionable temper, she doesn’t forget the noble causes she represents.
Fashion for Relief brought together many big names and pretty faces for a good cause. The catwalk was taken by the celebs walking down their frocks for the White Ribbon Alliance for Safe Motherhood. Dame Vivienne Westwood herself graced the audience wearing her own design and smiling all catwalk long. While rumors about Naomi’s retirement and courting motherhood spread more and more, she walked down the runway alongside young Chanel Iman.
They both had the same dress, Naomi in black and Chanel in white, signed Azzedine Allaia. Naomi, nervous as a first runner opened the show with an impressive Zac Posen green dress (which raised $50,000 in the auction) changing into an YSL (familiar to everyone from the YSL Ad Campaign or the photo shoot from I-D Magazine).
The Fashion for Relief was a smashing success and hopefully, it will raise not only funds but also awareness for the world’s charity causes. After the jump you can see the images I selected (a kind of my best of). Between them, it’s Skin (the voice of Skunk Anansie) with a gorgeous pair of high red suede boots (and in another picture she wears a breathtaking necklace). Have to say I absolutely love them! Which one’s your favorite?
Julia Roberts Designed RED T-Shirts For Giorgio Armani
September 19th, 2008 by kpriss
Julia Roberts designed two t-shirts for Emporio Armani (PRODUCT) RED. It’s her second time at the job and for this occasion she signed a red t-shirt reading Revolution-Evolution-Devotion above the tree of life (the tee carries her signature under the tree of life). Her first engagement in the RED campaign was a bestseller bohemian leather bracelet with the tree of life on.
The Julia Roberts Armani (PRODUCT) RED will be made in Africa and it’s already available for purchase. You can find it in white, red, grey and black. It’s all about helping others. It’s all about (RED). Do you own a (PRODUCT) RED?

Al Pacino’s Tango From Scent Of A Woman
September 19th, 2008 by kpriss
I always thought Tango requires a very good synchronization with the dance partner. Not only it involves a very high level of emotion, but it’s also meant to transmit something to the audience.
At least that’s what I thought. Until seeing Al Pacino’s tango from the movie Scent of a Woman. That’s a tango I thought he danced for himself and with himself. Then again, maybe I was wrong. You tell me, after watching the clip. The tango is played by Carlos Gardel and is called “Por una cabeza”. Enjoy this Friday break! Watching a tango is always a pleasure!
Would You Wear Marzia G Necklaces?
September 18th, 2008 by kpriss
There’s an important necklace wave haunting the fall fashion. I felt irresistibly drawn into the necklace fan crowd and as such I stay tuned to every necklace-news.
Here’s one: Marzia G stands for Marzia Della Cave, an accessory designer who finds inspiration when traveling around the world. Marzia is Italian living in US who spares no effort in the making of these jewelry pieces (meaning they’re handmade by Marzia herself). These necklaces are proof that being a globetrotter pays off. And I’m not necessarily talking bank accounts. I’m referring to the creativity that comes with the miles. These pieces of jewelry may or may not be easy to wear, but they sure are unique and outstanding. If I could, I’d take them all, two of each, so I wouldn’t desperately cry when one of the kids would rip one off, accidentally! Would you wear one?
