Naomi Campbell For Vogue Russia December 2008
November 16th, 2008 by kpriss
It’s rumored that the Wintour tyranny is heading to an end. And that the next in line for the Vogue US throne is Aliona Doletskaya, Vogue Russia editor in-chief.
With the latest celebrity wave hitting the Vogue US shore and all fashion crowds turning to Vogue Japan or China, or Russia, it doesn’t surprise me one bit. However, it would be also interesting to note that fashion, in general, is headed for Asia and Eastern Europe. Why? Because les nouveaux east-european riches love tags. More a product is tagged, more they get recognition. Socially and otherwise. So Vogue Russia is leading the fash-pack in Vogue’s land now.
Their December Issue, with (a strange-looking) Naomi Campbell on the cover is pretty impressive. And pretty un-original. I remember seeing a similar pose, but I can’t remember exactly who was wearing that white fur cap. I think it was one of the supers…Do you remember who was the first doing this Vogue Russia December 2008 –like picture? (click thumbnails to see larger images) (photos via tfs)
Easy Like Haute Couture Jellyfish
November 16th, 2008 by kpriss
Many times I find myself completely amazed by Mother Nature’s ways. I like to share those moments with you because maybe the treasures of this world could make people love it and care for it more.
This beautiful jellyfish has got my attention because (one) it’s a one-wonder-show by itself. And (two) because I could swear that Miuccia saw this picture before starting her work on the Spring Summer 2008 collection for Prada.. Wouldn’t you say? (photo via pixdaus)

Heidi Klum Goes InStyle US In December 2008
November 16th, 2008 by kpriss
You know that famous phrase from Jerry Maguire: “Show me the money!”? That’s exactly how I think they made Heidi pose like that!
“Show me the teeth! AAAAll of them!” And there she goes, blissfully showing us every single one of those sparkling white teeth! Looking more scary than beautiful, Heidi Klum’s cover for InStyle magazine pops the question I always wanted to ask – did she had a nose job? It’s so flagrantly perfect, I can’t help but thinking it’s not her natural nose. (Oh, and that plastic-looking hand, made in Photoshop.. they could’ve played low, she’s slim enough) (photo via tfs)
Drew Barrymore’s POP November Animals Issue
November 15th, 2008 by kpriss
It may be a fashion-less cover, but it surely is a beautiful one. I couldn’t have kept it just for me, so here’s Drew Barrymore featured in POP magazine.
It’s Pop’s 20th anniversary Animals Issue, the autumn issue. I wish I could’ve shown you all the pictures from this Drew photo shoot but, sadly, there were cigarettes in. And I don’t see “the Cancer stick” as a fashion accessory, or anything chic. So I kept all others. The tartan-and-rabbits soup and the high school cheerleader sets. It may be a cliché, but it works every time – something about those white lapins makes the picture warm and alive, doesn’t it? (photos via tfs)
Could… YOU By Crocs?
November 15th, 2008 by kpriss
Yes, another Crocs article! Why? Because I’m sincerely puzzled! I came across these. Signed by Crocs. And… not so ugly!
Part of the YOU by Crocs Collection, the shoes I’m about to show you are indeed signed by the famous ugly-shoe-makers, Crocs! And these ones, not only they’re far from disappointing, they also have the croslite™ technology to carry on the name and the fame for that’s what lies underneath the leather interior. Bright colored or classic black, brown, You by Crocs got me wondering if I shouldn’t change my mind about the infamous rubber shoes! What do you say? (don’t miss the rest of the pictures right after the jump!) (photos crocs via luxist)
Missy Eliott And Christina Aguilera Car Wash From Shark Tale
November 14th, 2008 by kpriss
Talking about Kung Fu Panda earlier this week, got me thinking about that other animation with Angelina’s voiceover: Shark Tale.
No matter what she’ll do, Christina will always be a great voice. As for Missy Eliott, I think she’s a very gifted musician. A beautiful animation movie with a beautiful cover song “Car Wash”. I hope you’ll enjoy it at least as much as I did! And if you missed Shark Tale, it’s about time you make up for the loss! Enjoy!
Denimfactoria Alpha And Bravo Jeans
November 13th, 2008 by kpriss
I already told you that when I’m looking for a special pair of jeans, I just don’t find it. Because I have something very specific in mind and even if my body constitution can look good in many jeans models, I won’t settle for less than what I have in mind.
Denimfactoria’s Alpha looks very similar to what I was thinking of as next jeans acquisition. Sadly, I haven’t been able to find the right cut so I’m left imagining that one day, I will! Denimfactoria’s founders went beyond that imagination and daydreaming and hoping and praying and made their own jeans brand! Because they couldn’t find the right pair of jeans. So, here it goes – Alpha and Bravo, their very first creations – what do you say? (denimfactoria via notcot.org)
Kanye Without Moderation
November 13th, 2008 by kpriss
You know that classic comedy line “I’m ok!”? When a character falls without explanation or it suddenly disappears right under your eyes (but in the same time in the background) because he stumbled and fell on the ground? And you can’t see him/her because he’s under water, or somewhere in the bushes? And suddenly he/she springs up with a wavering hand saying “I’m fine!” or “I’m ok!” even if he/she was clearly suffering after the fall while other characters carry on doing what they were doing from before the fall without worrying whatsoever?
Well, if my description was accurate, you’ll feel just the same when reading Kanye West’s last declaration!
I’m an alien. The only place I can be alone is my hotel room – I can’t even go to the grocery store. (…) But don’t feel sorry for me – I just did a shoot for Louis Vuitton. Don’t worry about me, I’ll be okay in the end.
Mkay, Kanye.. So.. who was worrying? Awww, right, a Louis Vuitton commerciaaaaal! That reaaally saves the day! (via people.com)
