Blake Lively’s Nina Ricci Dress At The Golden Globes 2009
January 12th, 2009 by kpriss
Wearing a gorgeous gown for a Red Carpet Event has its demands. In this case, you have to sacrifice some of the gown’s beauty and in the same time, induce a permanent state of apnea to the proud wearer.
Blake Lively’s body was a bit restrained by the seams of the Nina Ricci blue dress. The sequins detail do steal some of the visual embarrassment. Also the sparkling Fred Leighton jewelry add a serious distraction factor. Her hair looks purposely left free on her back just to draw more attention from the tight dress. I bet she had all this glamorous updo all ready and when she realized everyone’s eyes will only be on the popping seams of the dress, she gave that all up and went for a messy look. How would you describe Blake Lively doing the Nina Ricci dress? (photos via celebutopia)
Alek Wek’s Christian Dior Dress At The Golden Globes 2009
January 12th, 2009 by kpriss
Because we like her so much and because the Red Carpet needed a little something spicy, here’s the beautiful Alek Wek wearing a gorgeous Christian Dior dress (considerably shorter than the original runway version).
Needless to say what a great effect those big sequins had on her skin, the color of the dress complimenting Alek’s features. Also, she kept her jewelry to a minimal with big hoop earrings and nothing else. I wonder why she was attending this edition of the Golden Globe Awards… What do you think about Alek Wek’s Christian Dior dress? (photos via celebutopia)
Jenna Fischer’s Zuhair Murad Dress At The Golden Globes 2009
January 12th, 2009 by kpriss
I told you I don’t watch TV. But eventually, TV has a way of catching up with me. And so it did when it swept both me and My Adored Husband off our feet with The Office.
We have everything on DVD and we did an Office Marathon to watch everything that was done until present time. And we just love it. We miss every single character from the series and we so impatiently wait for their return. Well, now that I came clean with our Office addiction, here’s the charming Pam… ahem Jenna Fischer wearing a floor length floral dress by Zuhair Murad, the same designer that made her dress for the Grammy Awards in 2007 and Chopard jewelry. Freida Pinto’s Christian Lacroix Dress At The Golden Globes 2009
January 12th, 2009 by kpriss
Freida Pinto and her Slumdog Millionaire (winner of 4 Golden Globe Awards for Best Picture, Best Director, Best Screenplay and Best Original Score) is the Awards Season’s sensation. Beautiful and modest, she’s wearing a mustard Christian Lacroix Couture dress with draped details in the front.
Her golden accessories (golden sandals, golden clutch, golden cuffs and earrings) only add more spark to her outfit, making it truly shiny. I think she’s a refreshingly natural presence on the Red Carpet and even if I’m not a big fan of her Christian Lacroix dress, her smile makes up for everything. What do you think about the charming Freida Pinto’s Golden Globes appearance? (photos via celebutopia)

Hayden Panettiere’s Gianfranco Ferré At The Golden Globes 2009
January 12th, 2009 by kpriss
I used to dislike Hayden Panettiere’s outfit choices. For almost a year now I don’t have much to say in disapproval. Not because she’s setting no fashion-wrong foot but because she’s not pretending to be older than she really is by wearing unfit clothes style.
Her Golden Globes attire was a purple Gianfranco Ferré dress, strapless, rather simple. The sparkling top of the dress, embellished with gems, reflected the light in a very discreet and flattering manner for Hayden figure. Her diamonds earrings also discreet, were barely revealed under the side-swept wavy hair.
Hayden presented the Best Actor – TV Series Drama (Gabriel Byrne) so maybe it’s because she was highlighted during the awards night that she chose a more old-glamour look rather than keeping her short bob fresh look. Did Hayden’s long hair and glamorous look matched her Ferré dress? (photos via celebutopia)

Debra Messing In Vera Wang At The Golden Globe Awards 2009
January 12th, 2009 by kpriss
I know you liked her outfit from the Peoples Choice Awards night (and said it was Donna Karan, even if I couldn’t find it amongst her collections, so thanks again for that precious piece of info!) and maybe my disapproval could have been misleading, but I really like Debra Messing.
She looks (and feels) full of life and joy. That doesn’t mean I have to go blind and disagree with my tastes when it comes to her appearances on the Red Carpet. And for the Golden Globes she did a stunning Vera Wang purple number matched with Fred Leighton jewelry complimenting her skin tone and hair color. A no-wrong appearance in my opinion. Was she too much on the classic side? (photos via celebutopia)

Jennifer Lopez And Her Marchesa Dress At The Golden Globe Awards 2009
January 11th, 2009 by kpriss
It seems Marchesa is a safe choice for the Golden Globe Awards 2009 edition. Jennifer Lopez wears a glitzy sparkling gold dress signed Marchesa Spring Summer 2009 collection.
If Miley was wearing a white princess gown, Jennifer Lopez has opted for a daring cleavage with nude back and easy draped in the front. Despite the rumors saying that her marriage with Marc Anthony is not going wonderfully, she and her husband pulled a happily married appearance for the Golden Globes Red Carpet. Jennifer Lopez was the presenter for the Best Supporting Actress Award (Kate Winslet). In JLo’s case too the jewelry was also kept to a minimal, with Lorraine Schwartz pieces. Why do you think Jennifer goes that far to show her beautiful toned body after twins birth? (photos via celebutopia)

Miley Cyrus And Her Marchesa Dress For Golden Globe Awards 2009
January 11th, 2009 by kpriss
I usually witness teenagers dressed inappropriately for their tender age at various official events. This time, however, I don’t feel the same about Miley’s choice.
Nominated for an award, Miley attended the 66th edition of the Golden Globe Awards with her mother and father (you can see a picture of them together right after the jump). She chose a beautiful white dress signed Marchesa Spring 2009 collection.
Discretely embellished with golden sequins, the dress works wonderfully with her wavy haido. Is this a good choice for the very famous and sometimes controversial 16 years old? (photos via celebutopia)
