Jennifer Lopez JLO collection got me thinking. I started showing you some examples from her collection a while back and now I had to get to it again and rhetorically ask, once more, why should we bother to catalog Jlo by Jennifer Lopez, the fashion brand?
Being famous doesn’t give her the right to sell tacky designs under her signature, it’s so morally unfair! These two new handbags keep me wondering what are the reasons people keep buying celeb designs. The JLO pink summer 2009 bags can’t point in a positive direction! You can’t even buy cheap this kind of unmatchable tackyness! The pink sensations cost $140 and $70. What celeb-product have you bought recently? (via)

Hermès is stepping up from leather goods to stylish gadgets. It’s only a concept for the moment, but this slick Hermès Contre-Temps agenda is a heart breaker.
Made by Design student Alexandre Fourn, the electronic design of this Hermès piece could give the Luxury House something to seriously think about! It’s basically an e-paper that you can expand as much as you need. It has all the functionality an iPhone has plus the Hermès orange leather signature. Should it ever turn into reality? (don’t ask Posh, she’ll only say yes if it’ll be studded with diamonds and worth at least $20,000!) (via)

Diane Kruger (and her boyfriend Joshua Jackson) attended the New Yorkers For Children 6th spring gala in NY.
Wearing a pink feathered dress from Marchesa Ready to Wear Fall Winter 2009/2010, she looks flawlessly charming. You don’t need to glam up for your Birthday! You can slouch if you want to! Emma Watson’s example is enough to keep slouching those of us who don’t feel pouring the glam rain when adding another year to the bouquet. Daria, The Quick Change Artist From Vogue US May 2009

Daria Werbowy, everybody’s darling model turns into a quick-change artist for a quick David Sims pictorial in May’s issue of Vogue US. It’s supposed to be a models-issue, it would be natural they include every model (and their dogs. They did introduce the boyfriends, so why stop there?) in at least one picture, no matter how tiny (Naomi has a picture! Just ONE!)

2,009 Peacock Feathers Wedding Dress

While we were busy contemplating the world’s longest wedding train dress, a wedding dress made of peacock feathers was presented to the public in China, at the Nanjing wedding expo.
It may not be the longest, but surely is one of the most impressive wedding dresses. With its 2,009 peacock feathers taking 8 months to finish, this peacock sensation costs $1,5 Million. If only SJP had word about this before choosing Carrie’s Vivienne Westwood bride gown sensation! (FWD)

Today’s Friday Break is something I loved from the very first moment I heard. A simple, timeless tune that’ll stick with you throughout the day and (hopefully) it’ll help you relax a bit.
