Jessica Alba In Jason Wu Dress At Met Gala 2009
May 5th, 2009 by kpriss
Could someone please get a stylist for Jessica Alba? Pronto? Her Jason Wu dress for the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute 2009 Gala is plain beautiful. But pairing it with black tights?
Things could go better for you, Jessica. All you need to do is ditch those opaque black tights! And your stylist, of course! Keep the smile! We agree on keeping that great Jason Wu dress with gems embellished top and tulip skirt? (oh, and while we’re at it, Jessica, could you, please, change those braids you already worn to exhaustion and style your hair into a simple, irresistibly stylish ponytail?) Rihanna In Dolce & Gabbana At Met Gala 2009
May 5th, 2009 by kpriss
Time has passed and Rihanna resurfaced after her on-off incendiary relationship with Chris Brown. I don’t know if it’s her agent telling her to play low or it’s plain ol’ common sense that’s keeping her sweeter and calmer than before, but it suits her.
Talking about suits – she made a brilliant appearance on the Red Carpet for the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s 2009 Gala wearing a tux by Dolce & Gabbana. Black and shiny with bouffant shoulders, Rihanna’s suit starts by being amazing and ends up being questionable. I always had something against elegant pants looking like leggings. In my head, elegant is somewhat larger than what Rihanna wears as suit pants for the Model as Muse: Embodying Fashion May 2009 Gala. How does it look like to you? Madonna In Louis Vuitton Dress At Met Gala 2009
May 4th, 2009 by kpriss
Madonna dressed up in Louis Vuitton for the Met Gala 2009 was predictable! But there’s always room for the unexpected, especially when dealing with her Madgesty!
That Louis Vuitton outfit that Madonna is wearing tonight will be a world-wide-Fashion Disaster, there’s no doubt about it! She’s my favorite blue punk renegade princess ballerina! I’m actually happy she’s dressed that way, here tonight. A slap on everyone’s face on how to put a show on the Red Carpet. A tasteless one, of course, but who am I to argue her Madgesty and Marc Jacobs’ creative signature? Don’t miss the gallery after the jump! (photos via)

Cindy Crawford’s Blue Versace Dress At Met Gala 2009
May 4th, 2009 by kpriss
One of the most natural presences at the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Met Gala 2009 is supermodel Cindy Crawford. The Model as Muse: Embodying Fashion was made for the supers. The Met Red Carpet is such an amazing defile!
Wearing an electric blue Versace dress, Cindy brings back the glory days of modelling. Cindy Crawford pulling an Elizabeth Hurley isn’t something you get to see every day! Say, Cindy, is that a corset under those fabric wraps? Don’t miss the gallery after the jump! (photos via)

Jessica Biel In Red Versace Dress At Met Gala 2009
May 4th, 2009 by kpriss
Since Katie Holmes announced she won’t be gracing this year’s Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Gala, someone should have filled in Little Red Riding Hood’s void! Jessica Biel, there she goes!
Wearing that eyes-hurting red Atelier Versace dress, Jessica Biel is no match for her Met Gala chairman, Justin Timberlake. Jessica Biel’s dress is outrageous as worn by her. She must have taken style lessons from Victoria Beckham because they both ended up looking orange for this Most-Fashion Event! Jessica Biel’s Versace moment at the Model as Muse: Embodying Fashion Met Gala 2009 is beyond words! How would you describe her ensemble? Don’t miss the gallery after the jump! (photos via)

Mary-Kate Olsen In Christian Lacroix At Met Gala 2009
May 4th, 2009 by kpriss
Mary-Kate Olsen, completely ignoring the mini-rule of Marc Jacobs graced the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Red Carpet with a maxi dress by Christian Lacroix.
The tin foiled grey dress compliments her skin tone (she’s one of the lucky un-orange few) and her hair color. Her perfect fashionista self looks perfectly charming and perfectly stylish, a perfectly baking tinfoil Muse. Fashion Muse, that is! (I guess she didn’t wanted to go wrong so she went for a complete dress: lace, sequins, fabric all-in-one) She made visible progress from last year’s Met Gala, didn’t she? (don’t miss the gallery, right after the jump!) (photos via)
