When you’re a celeb, you have to take every side of your personality into consideration (financial consideration). Gwen Stefani started with No Doubt and went on solo to claim all the stage glory for her. When her solo career took off, her inner designer/fragrance maker self was unleashed too.
After turning herself into an entertaining entity, Gwen went straight for a brand association with her public persona. Love, Angel, Music, Baby, her first solo album (2004) is also the name of her brand: L.A.M.B. Beat that, Lady GaGa! 62-year-old, Cher got her leotard self on stage and proudly, happily performed like she did 17 years ago!
When I asked who the original pantless pop entertainer was a while back, I got some serious feedback from you, some pointing in Cher’s direction. There she goes, in her 60s, wearing an almost identical replica of her 1992 Berlin performance outfit. Of course we can all blame it on plastic surgery, but Cher really rocks that pantless trend, doesn’t she? (her creep-me-out-factor is considerably lower than Madonna‘s, even if there’s a serious age gap between the two entertainers) (via)
