Who Needs A Doormat Scale?
January 9th, 2010 by kpriss
I bet if they get word of this doormat scale, modelling agency managers around the world would most definitely place one at their entry door. Just because whoever did it thought it was funny, it doesn’t mean doormats can’t get more creative than this. They can get a lot friendlier, that’s for sure!
Remember guys, we want to get people in, make them feel welcomed, fuel their tanks with hospitality, happiness and well being! The designer of this thought-to-be-funny doormat is Emilio Alarcón. He thought it would be a great idea to make people talk about their taboos and a wonderful way to start a conversation. Now if everybody agrees, I’d like you to reconsider your doormat scale and make it funnier, Senor Emilio Alarcón! Friendlier. I like all sizes entering my home and we’ll take good care of those conversations, don’t you worry about that! It’s about friendship and love, not about how much you weight! What say you? Tilda Swinton’s Pringle Of Scotland Spring Summer 2010 Ad Campaign
January 8th, 2010 by kpriss
Scottish fashion royalty Tilda Swinton looks very Tilda-ish for Pringle of Scotland, the Spring Summer 2010 campaign.
Though there’s just one image (and a half, if we count the running in the woods scheme – that you can see right after the jump, a photo from the campaign), the campaign looks downright lovely and you can do no wrong with Tilda as your main act. Can you? What do you think? Would you buy something from Pringle of Scotland only by seeing this ad? (photos via 1, 2)

Are You Ready For The Girl Effect?
January 8th, 2010 by kpriss
Thanks to our friend, Ellington, I got word of a wonderful awareness initiative called The Girl Effect.
So today, for our Friday Break, I thought the The Girl Effect could be just what we needed! It’s wonderful, positive and mobilizing! And it could really work! I keep my fingers crossed for the Girl Effect to spread faster than lightning and grow into a better future for us. Because we deserve it. Because those young women deserve it! For more information, visit The Girl Effect website here.

As you already know and heard it with every occasion presented to me – I like Julianne Moore! Anyone still surprised? I mean look at her doing this Harper’s Bazaar UK, February 2010? The woman is flawless!
No JLo factor, no Gaga enhancements, only a stunningly good looking redhead in her 40s. It could be any of you! Black, blonde, brunette! You are beautiful just the way you are! Now let’s get a famous photographer to portrait that and you’re cover material! (more images right after the jump, click here to see the gallery) (photos via)

Celebrity Mugshots Mugs
January 8th, 2010 by kpriss
Time for our celeb pause: care to join me for a cup of… well… tea? Because I found these funny porcelain mugs with celeb faces prints on.
And not just any portraits! Celebrity mugshots, please! Al Pacino, Frank Sinatra, Keanu Reeves, Sid Vicious, Jane Fonda and even Hugh Grant and his love (more or less) interest at that time of night… I hope those responsible with the mugs design from Art Meets Matter will carry on the job, after all, there’s so much celeb material to choose from!
The Converse Jeans By Sebastian Errazuriz
January 7th, 2010 by kpriss
I, like many of you, love a casual Converse and Jeans mix up. Someone, however, thought of bringing the two ingredients together and aim for a successful prototype: the Converse Jeans.
It’s not a normal jean with a Converse label, no-no! It’s a regular Converse sneaker mounting up with a pair of wide leg jeans, the same color as the sneakers. Comfy? Maybe. Daring? For sure! Practical? Maybe if they were in waterproof rubber and you’d go out fishing… What do you think of Sebastian Erazzuriz’ creation? (more images right after the jump!) Karlie Kloss For Hermes Spring Summer 2010 Ad Campaign
January 7th, 2010 by kpriss
And this, my lovelies, is why I love fashion! Happy, heavenly fashion that makes me smile and dream about beauty and wonderful things!
Karlie Kloss is the Spring Summer 2010 spokesface for Hermes. And as such, she manages a gorgeous pose sleeping on a pile of pillows, each covered with a different Hermes scarf (which, added all together, cost as much as a shiny new car, but that’s another story altogether). Don’t you just love this kind of fashion? (click the picture for a larger image, it’s worth it!) (photo via)
