Thanks to our friend, Ellington, I got word of a wonderful awareness initiative called The Girl Effect.
So today, for our Friday Break, I thought the The Girl Effect could be just what we needed! It’s wonderful, positive and mobilizing! And it could really work! I keep my fingers crossed for the Girl Effect to spread faster than lightning and grow into a better future for us. Because we deserve it. Because those young women deserve it! This video really moved me and inspired me to try to do more, in my community and in my own life.
To try to be a good influence on all women (and men) no matter their age!

I decided to bring it her the second I saw it! (and thank you once more for sending it to me!) It’s wonderful and (I don’t know if you watched, but on their website they have testimonials – young women whose life changed with this initiative, I watched those and they made me cry) I hope things change. Not like in revolution-change, that will never happen, we still have too much to change, generations to re-code, but the little things. The details! like they say – invest in a little girl, she’ll do the rest! It’s so true!
