Megan Fox For Emporio Armani Underwear Spring Summer 2010 Ad Campaign
January 11th, 2010 by kpriss
Photographed by Mert and Marcus and starring Megan Fox, the new Emporio Armani Underwear Spring Summer 2010 ad campaign fails to impress me. Maybe because Megan herself doesn’t produce such a drooling effect on me, the poor man’s Angelina, like our friend, Ellington, calls her, looks decent, physically perfect, underwear suited but cold. Ice Cold!
She’s also set to star in the Armani Jeans campaign and I’ll keep my fingers crossed for those images! Hopefully they’ll prove something more than these. (the story continues right after the jump with more images, click here for the gallery!)

Tights Are Pants. Not
January 11th, 2010 by kpriss
Even if the fashion world and especially the paparazzi revealing celeb photographs tend to preach us otherwise, any stylish fashionista out there knows deep down inside that tights are not really pants.
If you agree, Tights are not Pants is the right address for you! If you disagree, by all means, you should ethically react with a Tights are Pants campaign so the rest of us could also enjoy the fash-ideology fight! What say you? Tights are pants? Or not? You can see some campaign negativity right after the jump with fragments from the Tights are not Pants Manifesto! (TightsarenotPants via LaEM)
Lagerfeld’s Tweed Motorcycle Helmets
January 11th, 2010 by kpriss
As I was going contre-courant with less adoration for Sponge Bob, I now turn to you with yet another motorcycle helmet that stands out: the Tweed helmet!
Also very limited edition, the Tweed helmet is called Pavillon and it’s the exclusive work of Jerome Coste, Ruby’s creative director and Karl Lagerfeld. Only 100 pieces will be released, each priced at $1,800. (if that sounds disappointing, then know that you’ll always have the Bandit choice: an equally fashionable silk scarf designed by Karl Lagerfeld with the uberglamorous image of a woman’s bust, clothesless but with the above mentioned helmet. This alternative will only cost you $210. Which will it be? – you can see how the scarf looks right after the jump!) (Ruby via BoJ)

Eva Mendes Calvin Klein Jeans Spring Summer 2010 Ad Campaign
January 10th, 2010 by kpriss
Troubled times, but some things never change. Take this Calvin Klein Jeans Spring Summer 2010 ad campaign for instance: Eva Mendes? Check! Jamie Dornan? Check! Calvin Klein jeans? Check! Oily skin? check!
The new Calvin Klein Jeans campaign bets on Eva Mendes’ appeal. Again. And for some reason that eludes me: I can’t see Eva like the Calvin Klein people do. Plus I have this strange voice in the back of my head telling me: don’t buy Calvin Klein Jeans! They’re full of oil and dirt! Don’t buy Calvin Klein Jeans…. And so on. What to do, what to do? Miley Cyrus Most Fashionable Outfit. Not
January 10th, 2010 by kpriss
I tried to find a comparison for Miley Cyrus’ outfit. And my mind kept wondering in the dangerous vicinity of Lindsay Lohan’s most stylish wardrobe.
So I’m bringing this to your attention also. Because we were all there, in our troubled, revolutionary teens years and so is Miley. Only Miley can do better. Should do much better than wearing those paint splashed ripped jeans and that slouchy torn top. Oh wait! I think I know now: she got it from H & M, special delivery, night time, in a dark obscure alley, the unsold torn and thrown away special collection. Didn’t you, Miley? Prada Spring Summer 2010 Ad Campaign With Rasa Zukauskaite
January 9th, 2010 by kpriss
I always thought the high fashion consumer has to be someone stylish and truly refined. Also experimenting with fashion imagery rarely got me in such a tasteless place like this new Prada Spring Summer 2010 ad campaign does.
The violence of the ad message makes my head spin. Though it should focus on clothes and accessories, the image is highly disturbing due to the incredibly visible lipstick. Prada’s Summer 2010 looks like a plain and boring one (despite of Rasa Zukauskaite’s loveliness – without the red/orange lipstick). I miss the enchanted bugs delirium! Would you buy Prada just by looking at these images signed by Steven Meisel? (photos via)
Chris Ro, A Dear Friend
January 9th, 2010 by kpriss
I’ve always been a sucker for beautiful photography! Though my adored Husband is the eye-gifted and the photo-passionate one from the two of us, I can’t help it but fall for aesthetic images, beautiful images, images that are really worthy of the saying “a picture is worth more than a thousand words”.
If the idea sounds good to you too, I’ll do my best to keep your art hungry self satisfied with images. Beautiful images, images that can bring peace and happiness in your heart. Let’s give it a go with Chris Ro, a graphic designer and art director. Here are some of his works (digitally enhanced, for the most part computer manipulated compositions plus a white shirt study) featured on A Dear Friend (don’t miss the gallery!). Let me know what you think and also feel free to suggest whatever images you find interesting, let’s share beauty! (via)
Daria Werbowy For Loewe Spring Summer 2010 Ad Campaign
January 9th, 2010 by kpriss
Last we talked about one of Loewe’s ad campaigns, we were surprised by Gisele Bundchen’s athletic pose (also she was clearly covering her waist area, but at least they didn’t go as far as London Fog to photoshop away her baby bump).
Now I’m pleasantly surprised by Daria Werbowy’s flawless presentation of the Loewe brand for the Spring Summer 2010 campaign, photographed by Inez and Vinoodh. Even if it’s too retouched for my taste (I’m one of those who appreciate real textures in photography), the arrogant look and the careless but very studied posture go together well, don’t you think?
