Hermes Scarf Les Dômes Célestes
March 26th, 2010 by kpriss
There’s little from Hermes that won’t challenge both my inner strength and my wallet. In other words: Hermes is my (current) fash-addiction and I’m only treating it with my therapy group: with you. Since there’s no way I’d pay $375 for a piece of silk, even hand printed, hand worked by Hermes.
However, Les Dômes Célestes, the new scarf from Hermes is pretty irresistible and below is the proof. What say you?
Lady Gaga’s Shades Collection With Linda Farrow And More With Forever 21
March 26th, 2010 by kpriss
There’s no stopping Lady Gaga from conquering the world. Taking it one radio at the time, now one collection after another.
After witnessing that madder-than-your-average-Tarantino-flick Telephone video (and having to put up with a real chase of Illuminati symbols throughout the short film in the weeks following the launch), Lady Gaga’s fashion self surfaces in not one but two rumored collections. Both connected to the phone thang. Forever 21 is preparing a t-shirts capsule collection with Brian Lichtenberg whose yellow tape body wrap was seen in the above-mentioned video (no word as to what’s Lady Gaga’s name doing in all this).
The second collection tied to Lady Gaga’s name is a sunglasses collection with Linda Farrow. No further details are available, so we’re keeping our fingers crossed for the collection (if proved to be real) to be wearable and un-harming. (entre nous, weren’t you always dreaming about a yellow tape tee?) (via 1, 2, photos via)

The New Jewelry It: More Necklaces, The Better!
March 26th, 2010 by kpriss
When it comes to personal style, there’s no true limit. Good taste and fashion sense make the oddest combination possible and likable.
Jenny Barchfield is one of those inspired people bringing to life the oh-so-avoided formula “more is more” in a most happy way. Bright yellow and mauve and as many necklaces as you can carry could definitely make you stand out in a crowd. Even when you’re one of the fashion journalists attending the Fashion Week defiles. What do you think of her look? Cast your vote right after the photo! (photo via EF)

Alek Wek Does Elle South Africa, The 14th Anniversary Issue
March 25th, 2010 by kpriss
As I’ve made no secret about it, Alek Wek is truly an enchanted sight for me. Thus the news of her gracing the cover of Elle Africa April 2010 is pretty significant to my ears.
Being an important issue, the one marking Elle Africa’s 14th anniversary, it only doubles the joy of seeing Alek’s amazing beauty on a magazine cover. What about that cover-question: do black covers sell? (and if they do, why can’t we have the pleasure of seeing black covers more often? And if not… well, obviously – why not?) (photo via)
High Glitz Child Beauty Pageants
March 24th, 2010 by kpriss
I’m bringing this to you both as a style’n’fashion amateur and a mother. I’ll avoid spending an important amount of time and words on the subject because it’s so controversial and double edged I’d have to hire a lawyer before anything.
Let’s just talk aesthetics and tease a bit the morality lake: the following portraits were signed by Susan Anderson whose documentary series, High Glitz, brings a bit of light on the Child Beauty Pageants. Just to remind us all were we at. (the story continues right after the jump with more images!)
Milla Jovovich Does Harper’s Bazaar Singapore April 2010
March 24th, 2010 by kpriss
Thinner is better! That’s what I see on Harper’s Bazaar Singapore’s April 2010 cover! Not only the styling is perfectly fit for a Christmas/ New Year’s issue, but also Milla Jovovich is slimmed down to her modelling days.
All that just to make believe there’s a star shine power going on. Have you seen Milla recently, Harper’s Bazaar Singapore? If you’re not familiar with Milla’s healthy shape, right after the jump you’ll find images from behind the scenes of this precise issue. (photos via)

Natasha Poly Does Vogue Paris April 2010
March 24th, 2010 by kpriss
Behold the Vogue Paris April 2010 issue! There’s a model on the cover! A real model! Natasha Poly. And a real fashion pictorial inside!
The trouble is the lack of expression. Natasha was commanded to only show us one face and one face only. The predator. Also known as the careless (often rich and aristocratic) tourist playing the flirting model in the sunny Moroccan desert. (the story continues right after the jump with more images! Lindsay Lohan Bags Collection For Ed Hardy
March 24th, 2010 by kpriss
Let’s get the oddness out of the way: Lindsay Lohan is said to be working on a handbags collection with Ed Hardy. Not to complain, they’re go together like peas and carrots.
Just one question pops in my mind: people really buy this kind of products? Celeb “designed” bags, tees, leggings? Headbands? That comes in absolute appreciation of Lilo’s personality and activities. Why would anyone need a handbag to party all night long? (see, Ungaro people? Lindsay can always design elsewhere!) (EO via PC, photo tBL)
