How To Wear Your iPad
April 15th, 2010 by kpriss
As you may probably know (or not), Apple’s latest release is called the iPad. Long contested by everyone (and their respective dogs), the new iWonder is considerably user-friendly but not so carry-friendly.
Thus, imaginative people around the world gather round and discussed long and thoroughly about the possibilities of wearing your iPad (which looks pretty much like an oversized iPhone/iPod). And this is what they came up with: eight ways to wear your iPad and look cool while doing it. This may not get you on the Sartorialist, but it could surely bring a smile on your face. I hope. Summer Must Have Maison Martin Margiela Candy Wallet
April 15th, 2010 by kpriss
Now this is eye candy in more ways than I could have imagined a wallet to ever be! Forget LV monogram stamped wallets! They’re soooo last season! Hook into the new Maison Martin Margiela Candy Wallet in shiny fuchsia and your day will certainly be brighter!
Made to look exactly like a giant candy wrapper, this Maison Martin Margiela wallet is made of polyurethane and polyester and once you open it, there’s a bright, shiny silver interior, just as candy-ish as the exterior! The only downside? Comme d’habitude, the price tag – this beautiful candy wallet costs $410. Not your ordinary candy, eh? (via)
Alessandra Ambrosio’s Victoria’s Secret
April 14th, 2010 by kpriss
I endlessly marvel at some photographers and stylists capacities of literally, visually transforming one’s body for an image. Alessandra Ambrosio is certainly not known for her curvy body. However, for this shot (and so many more), Victoria’s Secret commissioned army of people in charge took Alessandra’s body to a new level of appeal.
Victoria’s Secret is a successful lingerie name selling so much more than frills and lace. They’re selling dreams with a price tag. People seeing Alessandra’s photos (below, more right after the jump or simply click here for the gallery!) could buy VS undies hoping they’ll end up looking like her.
Sarah Jessica Parker’s Vogue US May 2010
April 14th, 2010 by kpriss
I’ve been waiting for a better quality image (an unofficial, low quality capture was already circulating for over a week now) to judge freely on May 2010 Vogue’s cover.
Sarah Jessica Parker is the star of this month’s cover. Good or bad? Good – after all, everyone loves Carrie…umm Sarah Jessica Parker. Bad – it’s a commercial move (SATC 2 is coming up soon) and a highly photoshop-altered one. Not to mention it’s Vogue, the “Bible” of fashion and it’s featuring an actress, not a professional fashion – something? (the story continues right after the jump with more images and a behind-the-scenes video!)

Midweek Odd’Around
April 14th, 2010 by kpriss
I thought it would be a nice way to pump up the dynamics of this day: happening around in fashion and the world (in very, very short and mostly very, very odd).
Kate Moss was supposed to have an exposition coming in Paris. Because we weren’t quite au courant with anything and everything Kate from her twenty something years in fashion, photos and ad campaigns with her face on should have been gracing the Musée des Arts Déco de Paris. The project was, however, canceled. Why would that be?
If you’re trying to make your way in the fashion industry, then you’ll know that an internship is the way to start building your success. Especially chez Vogue. Here’s the good news: you can internship your way in Anna Wintour’s offices by placing a bid. (it’s a charity auction and the bidding starts at $1,000).
Talking about auctions: Marylin Monroe’s chest X-ray from 1952 will be available for auction. Weird much?
The face-covering burqa doesn’t seem to be sanctioned by the Quran. Make way for the controversy!
Julianna Margulies Does W Magazine May 2010
April 14th, 2010 by kpriss
Now this is something unexpected for a (fashion)magazine! Julianna Margulies covers W Magazine’s May 2010 issue and she’s looking wonderful while doing it!
Sure it would have been so beautiful seeing her without the Goes Glam title, but I’ll take the closest to perfection I can get. Looking that good, naturally, at 43 is a challenge not many famous people feel ready to take. Not to mention the usual joggling with family and career. It’s a beautiful pictorial and a relaxed interview. (you can read it here) What more to ask from a spring-ish magazine? (don’t miss the rest of the images right after the jump!)

Lindsay Lohan’s 6126 Clothes Collection Is Here
April 13th, 2010 by kpriss
Whether I like it or not, the new 6126 clothing collection from Lindsay Lohan is here. And it seems to be received pretty good.
From someone who’s main talent (lately) is to crash outside night clubs, Lindsay goes on her road without showing any signs of getting better. Despite that, the media sure knows how to take care of the hand that feeds it. Lindsay’s 6126 fall collection (designed by her or not) is pretty much helping those carrying the same routine as her. Clubbing, glitzing, throwing their life into the arms of the night. Will it sell? I say yes. you? (click through to see more images from the collection, click here for the gallery!) (via 1, 2)
How To Turn Your T-Shirt Into A Shoulder Bag
April 13th, 2010 by kpriss
You know I’m loving a good green initiative and I certainly won’t keep the wonderful discovery for myself!
There are many ways to show your support for the environment, however, it’s always a pleasure to make it in a highly stylish (and original) way. Turning your old/new/favorite t-shirts into grocery/whatever bags is something noteworthy and easy as it follows: (Would you wear one of these reformed tees/bags?) (via)
