Gucci’s Guilty Ad Campaign Video Finally Here!
September 14th, 2010 by kpriss
Can’t go on without having my fashvideo fix! Can you? Come on, you have to admit you’re at least a bit curious! When I found the ad I said to myself: oh, great! Now maybe I can actually understand what this is add is about! Then I pressed play!
The ad comes in two cinematical perspectives: a flamboyant 3D and the old fashioned 2D way. Both are included here for your viewing pleasure. I wish I could tell you more about it, but I just want you to press play, just like I did and then exchange opinions. How about it? Ready to see Gucci’s Guilty with Evan Rachel Wood and Chris Evans?

Devendra Barnhart, Rebecca Schwartz Oliver Peoples 2011 Ad Campaign
September 14th, 2010 by kpriss
Remember the Oliver Peoples campaign from last year? Pretty little ad thing! This year they decided to approach the ad campaign from a more intimate perspective.
Devendra Barnhart and his love lady, Rebecca Schwartz photographed by Lisa Eisner. Oliver Peoples imagined an authentic love / life / living story for their Spring Summer 2011 ad campaign, shooting in location in a mighty architectural Californian doing (John Lautner’s 1961 Rainbow Garcia House). Waiting for more images and, the campaign video, biensur, here’s an avantgout to ignite your imagination! In the mood for some shades? (OP)
Marc Jacobs Spring Summer 2011 Collection
September 14th, 2010 by kpriss
How about taking a moment and marking down this day in the calendar? Pretty please? Because, my daaahlings, today is the day I’ll sing a praise to Marc Jacobs and one of his collections – the Spring Summer 2011 one! (if we’re to answer that “new black” question: seventies is the new black!)
Yes, yes, I took the time to watch and marvel myself at the glory of commercial couture that was Marc Jacobs’ collection. Because it was worth every minute of it! I’ll start by saying the collection is very well put together, very coherent, even overwhelmingly simple and coordinated. I loved the colors. Then I’ll go on saying that I loved the fabrics, I love the silhouettes, I loved the hair (how could I not? It makes my worse hair day look like heavy styling!) and most of all I loved the accessories (the hair flowers, the neck flower choker necklaces and the huge butterfly-ish belts, bonus the tiny purses and the chunky heeled platform sandals!). (more images right after the jump, plus the catwalk video)
Chloe Sevigny, The Fashionable One
September 13th, 2010 by kpriss
How can you resist a good story? Especially when it’s about one of today’s most courted and praised fashionistas: Chloe Sevigny? Aren’t you curious what her style is made of? Really?
(that was rhetorical! Wait till you see the pictures that got me to start all this!) So Chloe Sevigny is showing us what a really perfectly fitting pair of jeans can do to you! All you need is a tee shirt and the magic comes all by itself. Or not? Cast your vote right after the first image and please do hit the jump if you need more convincing photo – angles! (photos via)

Lady Gaga In Alexander McQueen Dress For MTV 2010 VMAs
September 13th, 2010 by kpriss
How do you feel about Lady Gaga? How do you feel about Lady Gaga wearing Alexander McQueen? I’m struggling hard not to see a bad side to this fame story!
So we had the MTV 2010 VMAs this very Sunday. You can just as well name it the Gaga edition since she swept this edition with 13 nominations from which she actually received 8 trophies (notably video of the year for Bad Romance, best collaboration for Telephone). That’s just a brief introduction to her stage outfits, actually. Because Lady Gaga chose to wear Alexander McQueen to start the night with. It’s a dress she had already worn before in her Vanity Fair pictorial. The Mohawk head piece was signed by Philip Treacy. (the story continues right after the jump with more images, click here for the gallery!)

Qipao Is The New Black
September 11th, 2010 by kpriss
Remember when Jimmy Fallon asked Marc Jacobs what was the new black? And Marc Jacobs repeatedly joked when answering? That’s the fashion way – you don’t let everyone and anyone know what the new it is. Let them live in their ignorance swamp, in their fast fashion culture and the true fashion bourgeois will live long and prosperous lives.
However, when I came across this Cristopher Kane beauty, I couldn’t help but think that maybe, qipao is the new black. Could be, right? Especially such a daring one! Half lace, half embroidered leather. Plus the leather collar. Pretty interesting, huh? Would you embrace the qipao as your new black? (this particular one, signed by Christopher Kane, part of the Fall Winter 2010 2011 collection, is $2,689.22)
Update: Though my mind was all set on the qipao (the Cheongsam) I managed to get some serious weekend distraction and write kimono instead. I now adjusted the title and the article body accordingly.
