Gipsy Outfit Arizona Muse’s Double Scarf Incident

As the scarf adorer that I am, I always keep an eye on scarf news. And so it happened that today I came across this peculiar scarf incident as showcased by Arizona Muse, the new it catwalk model.

She seems to make quite a statement outfit by wearing not one but two scarves. And hardly matched to each other! One is blue and the other, well… a typical pashmina print, intricate and oriental. I always dreamed of wearing two scarves, now I know it’s possible! How about you? Would you layer your scarves to maximize the effect? (notice the matching hat, purse and boots! She kept it simple and coordinated with a black dress adding color and interest by using the double scarf artifice!) Do cast your vote right after the image! (altamira)

Evian By Issey Miyake

Remember Evian by Christian Lacroix? How about Evian in Jean Paul Gaultier‘s interpretation? It was about time Evian refreshed their hall of designers fame with a new designer bottle. This time it’s Issey Miyake and the bottle looks simply adorable!

Simple, colorful, flowery, the new Issey Miyake fresh bottle will be available in two versions, one of which will be a Colette exclusive. I wish they’d make an ad campaign associated with the new bottle, something animated, something spring-ish and optimistic just like the bottle! Don’t you like it? (via)

Pink Is My New Obsession

How do you think your cat or dog or whatever pet you have there hair dyed in your own hair color? Because there’s someone out there who’s got a serious case of the pink! Pink hair and pink haired kitty!

The cat was dyed using food dye because her master, 22yo Natasha Gregory has her own hair candy pink and thought it was a brilliant idea to match her normally white cat to her pink hair. Originally taken into custody by the RSPCA (The Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) now reclaimed by its owner, the pink cat looks good and seems to be feeling pink. Ahem good. Wouldn’t you say? (click through to see the video!) (Telegraph via arbroath)

Charlize Theron, Orlando Bloom Ads For Uniqlo

Uniqlo – worn by Charlize Theron, made for all! As Orlando Bloom puts it, over and over: they’re affordable, they’re really good quality clothes. And they’re modeled by Charlize Theron and Orlando Bloom. I could say that over and over and it would suffice to make you wonder what kind of brand Uniqlo is and why can’t you wear it if Charlize and Orlando do! Wouldn’t it?

The ads, however, are very bland and almost lack in creativity what they bring in celebrity. Then again, maybe that’s the idea – simplicity through celebrity. Does it sell? (click through to see the videos!) (NF via FC)

Lhasa De Sela De Cara A La Pared

It’s that time of the year when we’re all supposed to remember and fight the pink fight. Yep, pink ribbons of hope for all those who are dealing with or already met the nemesis that goes under the name of cancer. Any kind, not just breast cancer (just in case – October is the Breast Cancer Awareness Month).

Thank you for being here with me yet another week! I know I haven’t been as active as I wanted it, the 9th month takes its toll on my active self. No worries, though, I don’t intend to leave things like that! I miss you dearly and I do want to spend more time with you. Sending you all my love and wishing you one of the best weekends ever – here’s Lhasa de Sela with De Cara a la Pared, a little piece of slow music I’m having a hard time not obsessing with. I hope you’ll share the passion once you’ll listen to it! Enjoy! (more information after the jump – where you’ll understand why Lhasa in October)

Claudia Schiffer Designed Collection For Iris Von Arnim

It seems being a mother of three in addition of being a super super supermodel isn’t enough these days! You have to be the designer of your own fashion collection!

Claudia Schiffer recently announced she was launching a cashmere collection in collaboration with Iris von Arnim, a German knitwear brand. Because they share the same values and vision. Judging by how mesmerized Donna Karan cashmere collection left me, I expect nothing less from Claudia’s new project. Too bad there’s always a price tag issue to keep me away from that precious cashmere. That and the new vintage coordinate – how could I choose something new when old is the new new? (IvA via)

Anna Wintour’s Summer Long Island House

This may not look as good as Manolo Blahnik’s home (partly because it lacks life and actual fashion and mostly because it lacks the vision of the talented photographer), however, do take a look at Anna Wintour’s summer house!

It’s her Long Island property, reworked and redesigned to fit her Vogue-ish Majesty with all the royal comfort and style she deserves! The result is pretty much symmetrical to whatever fashion standard she’s trying to maintain in her Vogue editor offices, as celeb ready and artificially natural as possible. However, it’s Anna Wintour herself who said it best:

“…an 1834 farmhouse, with loads of additions and 12 poky bedrooms. It had a perplexing reception room with difficult, though grand, proportions. It had lawns that tumbled down toward a beautiful-to-the-eye, toxic-to-everything-else river. It had nearly 25 acres of difficult trees in deer-infested woods. It was, as we say at Vogue, challenging.”

um… yes, Anna, the nature is pretty challenging usually. And pretty as it is. But then again, there must be some kind of Photoshop ops for natural environments also. You can have a glimpse at what was before the Summer House of Wintour right after the jump! (tA via NYmag)
