Beyonce’s New Feria L’Oreal

Because… hey! We’re worth it! That’s why we’re getting the L’Oreal Beyonce Feria treatment. While everyone out there knows that our favorite Queen Bee wears heavy extensions and lace fronts, L’Oreal keeps pushing the ad hoping that, maybe somewhere, under some God forsaken rock, lives someone who’s unaware of Beyonce’s hair nature.

Either way, if you’re looking for a near – music video experience, the ad below is just what you need, only compressed in a 30 seconds sequence with tons of commercial messages. More – there’s Beyonce looking impeccable as usual! Do you dye your hair? What do you use for the job?

Rebecca Hall’s Harper’s Bazaar UK February 2011

The talk of The Town, Rebecca Hall exposing her multitalented persona on the cover of Harper’s Bazaar UK, February 2011.

Everyone is delighted of her performance alongside Ben Affleck. Thus, Harper’s Bazaar is proving the obvious – there’s no talent like the cleavage talent. (no word on the photographer and the stylist yet) (more about The Town here; Harper’s Bazaar via)

Duffy’s Marie Claire UK February 2011

Singers sell it better. Also, old school does it better kind of cover for Marie Claire UK February 2011 starring Duffy.

It’s yet uncertain if the cover will help selling the album or the other way around. Duffy hasn’t met her precedent album’s success with this second one. (no word yet on the photographer and the stylist). (Marie Claire via)

Victoria Beckham’s Vogue UK February 2011

Victoria Beckham, the Vogue interview from Vogue UK February 2011. Sneaky and steadily, Victoria is erasing any trace of Posh Spice from our memory.

Soft and girly, that’s Vogue’s UK approach of the new year Victoria Beckham. 2011 brings us old news in tons of gray. Also – Victoria is building a personality behind her name. Curious about that interview now? (Vogue via)

Vintage fashion, vintage magazine. It’s all brilliantly redone by Vogue Italia January 2011. With a little help from le modele du moment Freja Beha Erichsen and the rising model star du moment Arizona Muse. Old – school does it best.

Cheryl Cole’s Elle UK February 2011

Cheryl, the Rebirth for Elle UK February 2011. I thought that happened with her October 2010 Vogue cover. How many lives does Cheryl Cole have, after all?

Also because the subscribers cover is far more impressive, the tagline is dedicated to the newsstands buyers: [Cheryl Cole] Don’t look back in anger.

Photographer: Jan Welters. Stylist: Anne – Marie Curtis (Elle via) (don’t miss the subscribers cover right after the jump!)

Tom Ford Spring Summer 2011 Womenswear Collection

When we talked about that thoroughly planned commercial fashion, I forgot to say that it can happen to any level of financial power. It can happen at a H & M level, it can also happen at a catwalk, couture level. And mr Tom Ford is a maniac of commercial fashion. He knows the ups and downs, the risks and juggling with those risks.

Tom Ford spend years planning and researching the need and the trends of the market. Of the womenswear market. Thus he decided it was time for some scandalously dedicated couture.

He so organized his first womenswear collection for the Spring Summer 2011 season in a very closed circle, using the crème of the crème in models and celebrity fashionistas. And because the critics praised him so long and so good, he withheld the collection film until he saw fit. And then he released it. For our greatest pleasure and his unmistakeably commercial success. You even doubt, for a second, that his collection will be a complete sellout? (how does it make you feel, mr Ford’s collection, after seeing this short film? I’m beginning to think Tom Ford is the Chuck Norris of fashion!) (via)

Reed Krakoff Shoes

Being the second time I feel compelled to write something about Reed Krakoff shoes, I waited no more and headed over to see the work in full.

I’m helplessly bound to smile whenever I see Reed Krakoff shoes. I doubt the original design intention was to spread hilarious opinions about the shoes, but I can’t help it. I saw these sandals below and the first thing that popped in mind was those old school brushes that men used to spread shaving foam on their faces, prior to shaving. Funny sandals. I hope they don’t itch while wearing the funny straps. (click through for more!)
