Have you seen the latest Gucci ad campaign? For the Spring Summer 2011 season, Gucci has something really special for our fash – ad – hungry eyes. A colorful, sun filled campaign with Joan Smalls, Karmen Pedaru and Kailey Clauson (bonus few male models).
Photographers: Mert and Marcus. Also – there comes a time in everyone’s life, when all there is to do is just put on your $1,000 top, $700 skirt, $1,000 sandals, $2000 bag and so forth and just lay in the sun. And frolic if anyone around. Yep, that’s the Spring Summer 2011 Gucci time! Priceless! (more images right after the jump, click here for the gallery!) (Gucci)
Armani Prive Haute Couture Spring Summer 2011 Fashion Show
January 26th, 2011 by kpriss
From the looks of it, the skinny pant shape is making a big comeback. At least as far as the Haute Couture is concerned.
Giorgio Armani Prive Spring Summer 2011 Haute Couture Collection was electri – sci – fi couture more than anything. Everything sparkles, reflects light and modulates its shape. The drama and the majestic attitude of the collection would be, undoubtedly appreciated by many. For what is, Haute Couture, but a theatre of absurd fashion meant for extremely few wardrobes outside the catwalk they first saw the light of day on.
Also – those Philip Treacy hats – I would fancy one in my kitchen. You know, salad purposes. No offence, but unless they were meant as some kind of mini – umbrellas, they’re looking like mini – ufos or deflective shields for those mythical microwave and cellular radiations. Bill Cunningham New York. Must See
January 26th, 2011 by kpriss
Bill Cunningham. The legendary New York Times photographer. People who love him and his fashgrace have put together a documentary to portray, the best they knew how, the amazing fashhappening that is Bill Cunningham.
It’a magical thing to watch and I’m looking forward to. It puts all those street style photographers cum bloggers to shame and rightfully so since he was the one photographing for decades NY Times Style’s On The Streets, Evening Hours. The magic man behind the camera, turns out, is a dedicated, passionate fashion person with an incredibly gifted eye for color and style. Thank you, Bill Cunningham, for being there! And thank you Richard Press and Zeitgeist, for this documentary!

Le Trash C’est Chic H & M Waste Collection
January 26th, 2011 by kpriss
Glamorizing trash, isn’t that something we always dreamed of? Since the glory days of Derrelicte (yes, that’s a Zoolander reference, again), we always knew our dream wardrobe would be made of waste! Didn’t we?
H & M‘s Waste collection is a very special collection, made of leftovers from the Alber Elbaz collection for H & M. While absolutely embracing the zero – waste idea (especially remembering that unsold merchandise being trashed and thrown away), and fully knowing that the waste can’t outnumber the actual collection, I’m fairly concerned about where this is going and how will it be distributed since now it’ll only be available in one store per country. What’s your stand on the Waste collection by H & M? (via)
Kate Moss Tomorrow Night We’ll Go Anywhere
January 26th, 2011 by kpriss
You may recognize the following images with Kate Moss built up in a video on Evan Voytas Tomorrow Night We’ll Go Anywhere. And it doesn’t mean it’s a bad case of fashion deja vu, it means the images were actually used before.
It was a photo session Kate did with Nick Knight for Vogue Italy December 2010. Reworked and edited by Jamey Harley who used the Evan Voytas song to port the iconic aesthetic represented by Kate Moss. (there’s even an interview with Jamey Harley in which he explains the haunting he wanted this video to evoke; you can check it out here)
Also – why is this more artistically praised and fashion-y than a plain music video?
Arizona Muse About Fashion Week. And More
January 26th, 2011 by kpriss
The fashion muse of the moment is Arizona Muse. The 1990 American born model has joined the fashion stage in 2008 and in 2009 was already taking a break from it. And we can’t tell if it’s having her son, Nikko, in 2009 or simply the break we just mentioned, but upon her return in the fashion spotlight in 2010, Arizona became the next big thing.
Everybody wants her, from Marc Jacobs to Proenza Schouler, she even became the face of Prada in 2011. But what does Arizona think about all this? (click through to read her thoughts)

Absolutely Awesome And Inspiring!
January 26th, 2011 by kpriss
What’s your daily routine? How do you do everything feel better on a dreary day? I will share with you what I do to keep it positive, to lift it higher than the weather or anything else imposed on us a gray shade of being.
I’m perusing through the interwebs, the inspiring and artsy alleys of it. The ones I know, and I’m sure they’re plenty of them out there and I haven’t discovered them yet (and I’m so looking forward to doing it!). And sometimes, only sometimes, I find little treasures, like today. Inspiring moments that’ll, inevitably, bring tears of thankfulness in my eyes. Tears of joy for being alive, for being where I am and having what I have.
Today’s amazingly inspiring moment is brought to you by Neil Pasricha (you may know him from his amazing website 1000awesomethings dot com). You don’t have to have 17 minutes to watch this video. Just start doing it by pressing play. It’ll sweep you off your feet, it’ll melt you heart and inspire you, hopefully, to get through the day with a positive attitude. (oh, yeah – those awesome things are based on three A: attitude, awareness and authenticity). Have fun watching!
Chanel Haute Couture Spring Summer 2011 Fashion Show
January 26th, 2011 by kpriss
Now if anyone would have ever mentioned skinny jeans as part of a couture collection, ever, I would look away in massive disbelief, fully convinced that they don’t know what they’re saying.
Even now, after watching and re – watching the show, few unbearable details keep storming in my mind, making me wonder why this Chanel Spring Summer 2011 collection was Haute Couture in the first place! (click through for more images and a video and let’s share some thoughts on this new Karl Lagerfeld fashdeed!)
