Claire Danes In Louis Vuitton Flowery Dress For 2011 SAG Awards
January 30th, 2011 by kpriss
My favorite dress – wearing celebrity tonight, at the 2011 SAG Awards was Claire Danes. Though she doesn’t usually make it up to my dream list, her gorgeous Resort 2011 Louis Vuitton dress (custom made, from what I can tell) absolutely stole my heart!
It’s so light and so lovely and flowery, that you literally can’t get any better on the Red Carpet tonight. Yes, some may see it as too casual for the event (the same like they did with Heidi Klum’s Marc Jacobs for the Golden Globes) but I think it suits Claire wonderfully and also tones down the event glitz making it more approachable and rejuvenating the fuss a bit. Plus she seems to be the only one aligning to the green trend tonight, right? (more images right after the jump, click here for the gallery!) (photos via 1, 2)

Natalie Portman’s White Azzaro Dress For 2011 SAG Awards
January 30th, 2011 by kpriss
Natalie Portman‘s dress for the 2011 SAG Awards Red Carpet surprised me a bit tonight. She’s looking nothing short of fabulous wearing that white Azzaro dress (from the Spring 2010 collection). But white?
Pure bridal bliss (is Natalie trying to send us a message, here?), her white Azzaro is simple, yet astoundingly beautiful on pregnant Natalie Portman. She matched her dress to a rumored $2 million total worth of Tiffany jewelry though she outsparkles them all! Could she have been any more beautiful than this? (photos via 1, 2)

Mila Kunis In Red Alexander McQueen Dress For 2011 SAG Awards
January 30th, 2011 by kpriss
I’ll start with Mila Kunis tonight. Remember that controversial dress worn by Michelle Obama at the State Dinner? Well, something similar only a little bit less dramatic can be seen tonight, for the 17th edition of the Screen Actors Guild Awards, SAG 2011 on Mila Kunis – an Alexander McQueen Resort 2011 collection red dress.
Gorgeous girl, gorgeous dress. Slightly different from the original version – Mila‘s McQueen has more white in it than shown in the collection, but it suits her better, making the gown less dramatic and more flowery. It’s a strong dress for Mila, however, she seems to be pulling it just fine. How do you feel about Alexander McQueen‘s red dress as worn by Mila Kunis? (and how about that belt? it’s obviously there to show her waist and help elongate her petite silhouette, so is it working?) (more images after the jump, click here for the gallery!) Valentino Haute Couture Spring Summer 2011 Paris Fashion Show
January 29th, 2011 by kpriss
For some time now I’m indulging myself in the wonders of DIY. And I’m not trying to obtain an industrialized look, au contraire, my homemade headbands have that unique quality I can’t find in a store bought headband – they come from my own imagination. I can’t feel the same wearing an already made headband. It just isn’t me. So I started crafting some headbands for my daughter too.
Today it was one of those headbands making days. I made her a light brown flowery headband with metallic gray beads in the middle. I felt good with the result, and she looked pretty wearing it, proud with the headband made by her mommy. Yeah. That totally made my day!
Seeing Valentino‘s pre show seamstresses work impressed me to that very diy bone I manifest from time to time. I could never compare myself to those ladies! They’re artists! Have you seen what they do for the Valentino Spring Summer 2011 Haute Couture show? A – R – T! (click through for more images!)

Lykke Li Get Some
January 29th, 2011 by kpriss
Since this week I started something I’d like to keep working on in the following days, weeks, months, years, I’ll make our beloved break about it too: Inspiration. It’s hard to come across these days for it can mean so many things for just as many people. Look at a picture of an empty room with a rose in the corner of a window and name the first thing that pops in your head.
This week I want to share with you one of my favorite musical discoveries. Some of you may have heard about her, may have even listened to her songs, but for me it usually takes some time until I decide if I really like something indie enough to make it to my regular playlist. Which is as eclectic as possible, last week is proof enough! Likke Li: Get Some. I hope you’ll enjoy this piece and that your weekend will be nothing short of fabulous! Marc Jacobs – Mrs Jacobs, The Woman As Styled By Katie Grand
January 29th, 2011 by kpriss
Remember that special cover with Marc Jacobs dressed as a woman? The one we agreed upon as disturbing? Well here’s the entire pictorial and it goes nowhere near reassuring!
I’m having troubles understanding the real reason of this styling. Was it because we have to understand and cope with Marc Jacobs being gay (unnecessary, if you ask me – talking about things like that is so last century)? Was it because we have to understand and cope with Marc Jacobs wearing skirts? Was it because we have to understand that hats and wigs are de rigueur right now? I’m puzzled…
Photographer: Patrick Demarchelier. Stylist: Katie Grand. Also – was wearing the same black shirt for each and every image part of the styling deal? (photos via)
Bryce Dallas Howard Kate Spade Spring Summer 2011 Ad Campaign
January 28th, 2011 by kpriss
One of the most joyful campaigns of the season (rubbing elbows with Dolce and Gabbana’s D & G!) is the one for Kate Spade Spring Summer 2011.
Starring Bryce Dallas Howard, the picture is enthusiastically colorful and happy, and I fell head over heels for that mini crossbody bag. And for that stripey dress. And for those bow-ish sandals! And for that sleek bike! (the bag is called Essex Small Scout and it’s actually available in four different colors – brown, yellow, pink and orange)
Also – wake me up when it’s summer already, a’it?
Dare To Wear Anna Porcu’s Leather Cuffs?
January 28th, 2011 by kpriss
At our dear friend, Ellington, suggested, I checked out Anna Porcu’s leather cuffs. Turns out the pieces are pretty charming and they make quite the fashion statement.
Crafted in leather and decorated with antique – like cameos, the cuffs envisioned and handmade by Anna Porcu come in a variation of colors, shapes and motifs for every taste. The only trouble I see is the price tag: the leather cuffs can be yours for prices ranging from $1,195 to $2,575. Either way, I like the twist of classic and the simplicity of these cuffs. How about you?
