The Green Prada Cover Dress Marie Claire Vs Harper’s Bazaar April 2011
March 10th, 2011 by kpriss
Unless you’ve been living under a fashrock, then you know green is the new white. And you also know the greenest collection of them all (for Spring Summer 2011) was Prada. So here’s the green cover challenge:
Amanda Seyfried‘s Marie Claire UK April 2011 vs. Abbie Cornish Harper’s Bazaar Australia April 2011. So besides having shared Ryan Phillipe, these two beautiful girls can now pride themselves with having worn Prada on the cover of a magazine. It’s not really a dress you can mix and match and make over new looks with so I naturally wonder how many more covers can there be with this unique look? (oh – do you like the dress? I remember you weren’t too impressed with that particular Prada collection) (Marie Claire, Harper’s Bazaar Australian Fashion via)
Original Desk Style
March 10th, 2011 by kpriss
There’s a little interesting desk making the rounds of the interwebs for a while now. I remember finding something similar for Christmas (a Christmas Tree, if you recall). Now it’s time to step up and add that special touch to your home – a desk made of books.
It doesn’t have to be the size of this library furniture piece from TU Delft Architecture Biblioteek – it can just as well be a simple coffee table. A bedside table. And yes, you can make it using your stacks of fashion magazines! Building with books is so hot right now! What do you prefer? real furniture? or you would rather free your imagination and see what you can come up with? (via)
What To Wear For A Coffee Cup Run?
March 9th, 2011 by kpriss
You know those teen magazines that advise you to wear you best outfit and look your best even when running the smallest errand around the house? Because well.. you just never know?
I thought about that and I tried to copy paste the thought on Taylor Momsen and her outfit while out buying a cup of coffee. It’s definitely something to wear if you desperately want to be noticed. And to all of you out there trying to convince me that this is how social missfits dress up? Who are you kidding? This? is a missfit? running contre courant? Only if you call that wearing Tom Ford Whitney sunglasses which were very popular… two years ago! (photo via)
Alexander McQueen Fall Winter 2011 2012 Collection
March 9th, 2011 by kpriss
If the rumors stating that Kate Middleton’s Royal Wedding dress will be an Alexander McQueen dress are true, I wouldn’t be the least surprised! Have you seen the Alexander McQueen Fall Winter 2011 2012 collection? The newly installed colony of viruses from my throat cannot stand between me and my love for all things McQueen!
I struggled hard to choose my favorite pieces! I loved the entire collection, it was magnificent! Sarah Burton is a wonderful designer, truly representing the spirit of the McQueen house! Thank you for such a splendid collection, if there’s is such a place as Sartorial Heaven, I’m sure they all wear McQueen there! (images from the entire collection here)
Kate Winslet’s Lancome Ad Campaign
March 9th, 2011 by kpriss
Though I’ve said it before, there it goes, baby, one more time: I loooove Lancome. (fact is, I think it goes way beyond the personal preference of one individual for this brand or the other – it’s about what your skin can tolerate and what kind of product you need. If the brand you like also happens to be one of the best for the options you need, there you go, no need for scientific breakdown of one’s love for a certain label)
Kate Winslet representing for Lancome’s new lipstick ad campaign Lancome L’absolu Nu is pretty much under my liking radar. Yes, despite of my having an assiduous love affair with Lancome (mascara, true, I’m not a lipstick girl). Will it catch? Undoubtedly. Will it sell? Most certainly. How about you – will you buy it? The Hermes Clear Bag. Must Have Bag
March 9th, 2011 by kpriss
Hermes is one lucky brand – lucky because they have such standards they’re keen on maintaining, lucky because they have such great designers ready to impress, and lucky because they have so many fans ready to jump in frozen waters if a Hermes Kelly is in danger of drowning!
But did you actually know there was also a Hermes Clear Bag somewhere in their products portfolio (if you know the collection, please step forward – from what I see in the picture it says Collection Ete 1996)? So not only you’ll be showing the world you own a Hermes Bag, but you’ll also be able to show off the actual content of your Hermes bag! How cool is that? (photo via)
Rafael Nadal’s Armani Jeans Video Ad
March 9th, 2011 by kpriss
Eyecandy, eyecandy ya’ll! Rafa’s new Armani Jeans ad campaign is out for everyone to see! Undoubtedly one of the most viewed commercial videos, so you wouldn’t want to miss it!
And you’d think the luxury labels don’t need more than impeccable stitching to lure the customer in? How about one of the hottest men and one of the hottest women on the planet working for them? Rafal Nadal and Megan Fox were carefully chosen and attentively directed in commercials that’ll dizzy into buying even the most un-brandable soul out there! Say you wouldn’t like the new trashed jeans, courtesy of Rafa for Armani! (two more images from the campaign right after the jump!) (photo via)
Kirsten Dunst Bvlgari Mon Jasmin Noir Lion Ad Campaign
March 9th, 2011 by kpriss
Remember when I said I went down with a virus? Yeah, well it has happened again! It’s like the kids pack food for school and once they get there, they unpack the food their momma carefully put there and pack viruses for home. Interesting exchange. (I’m so sorry I went silent without a warning! The specter of medicines a nursing mother can be subjected to is truly narrow so I’m pretty affected. If you have any ideas and advises, I’d be happy to read them – I haven’t had anything more brilliant than drinking lemon and honey or stuffing garlic!)
Yeah, so I was looking at this new Bvlgari Ad Campaign with Kirsten Dunst wearing very little except Mon Jasmin Noir Bvlgari perfume and few key accessories (precious jewelry) lying insouciant in the immediate proximity of a lion and I was impressed. Even in my virus disturbed head (the headache is annihilating my fashion enthusiasm) it looks odd and heavily Photoshopped.
Also – I guess in a world where a perfume bottle is half the size of a human torso, it makes sense to have such a clearly computer imposed photo alliance. Priceless! (do hit the jump to see more images from the campaign and from the shooting or click here for the gallery!) (via)
