April 9th, 2011 by kpriss
Undisputedly one of the greatest actors of our times, Johnny Depp makes a great appearance in Tom Petty‘s Into The Great Wide Open music video.
He’s not alone in for the task- oh, no! He’s got Faye Dunaway and Gabrielle Anwar. It’s a beautiful video, a wonderful song by Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers . A mad hatter thing. I hope this little story will charm your amazing weekend! It’s been a great week and I can’t wait for the next one, with you! Enjoy!
Spring Must Have. H & M Essentials By Anne Sofie
April 9th, 2011 by kpriss
Remember that green attitude towards your wardrobe? I promised I would be more careful with what I put in my closet. Think twice before purchasing an item and hopefully envision more than two ways to wear it.
So I decided it was time I refresh my “must have” shirt for spring / summer. Therefore I needed something reliable in shape and color, something that’ll last me more than the now season / year but also not a splurge. Naturally, H & M came to mind (I imagine Sofia Coppola would have said Charvet to that, but we’re on a budget here). So, basically, what I did, was finding a very similar shirt to the one I had but was getting too old for a good fit.
And, when I got to H & M (besides stuffing on kids basics), I couldn’t help but notice the Essentials by Ann – Sofie. Who is Ann-Sofie and what movie she was in, you say? Well, allow me to surprise you – Ann-Sofie Johansson is the head of design from H & M! So no Hollywood like celebrity here! And Ann-Sofie prepped a little must – have wardrobe for this spring season you should definitely consider! Key words: relaxed, laid back, neutral, versatile. There’s a video after the jump with Ann-Sofie talking about The Spring Essentials while Zuzana Gregorova models the looks! (via)
Sasha Pivovarova Free People Spring 2011
April 7th, 2011 by kpriss
Is it too late to enroll myself in the Free People fans caravan? Because I’m such a huge admirer of everything they do! Take for instance something that definitely broke me down: their April 2011 catalog with Sasha Pivovarova. How could I ever resist it?
Not only the clothes are ethereally beautiful and the styling is amazing, but Sasha is playing around, smiling, looking so lovely! But you already know that since I already presented you with the video commercial of the campaign. You know, the one where she’s playing around with all kind of lil’ animals and birds! Free People and Sasha – a combination which has won my heart! Don’t take my word for it, click through and you’ll see it for yourself! I’ll stop talking now and let the images speak for themselves.
Kate Moss’ Longchamp Collection Video Commercial
April 6th, 2011 by kpriss
It’s called Faraway and it features Kate Moss and her glamorous Longchamp bags collection. We saw the collection a while back and we agreed it is fabulous and all sorts of amazing.
Well, now it’s time to watch Kate playing the tambourine, dancing around, swimming in the pool and walking around toting her wonderful Longchamp bags. In short – nothing we wouldn’t like to do any day! Right? riiight! Alasdair McLellan directing, Nancy Sinatra singing, Kate Moss advertising. A perfect recipe, it seems, wouldn’t you say? (now forget the glorious bags, where was that warm weather already?) (via)
The Artisans
April 6th, 2011 by kpriss
When I first found this story, I was clearly attracted by the stunning visual beauty of the photography. Which was obviously the primal intention in building this pictorial.
The Artisans. The name alone is a trigger for every crafty / creative soul out there! Commissioned by and featured in the Men’s Journal, The Artisans series was photographed by John Midgley and portrays New – York based craftsmen. Inspired and inspiring people like The Mast Brothers (who make and wrap by hand their Mast Brothers Chocolate, you can see more about them right after the jump), Frenel Morris, the milliner, Marcel Mrsan, the shoe maker and Palo Samko, the woodworker. Handmade things are wonderful, filled with heart and magic! Just look at these images, don’t they look like pages torn from a spells book? Bike Chain Bag From Nicole Miller. Would You Wear It
April 6th, 2011 by kpriss
Introducing bicycling in our lives in the most fashion friendly form is de rigueur these days. Some people need to be convinced that green is a fashion more than a marginal attitude.
Nicole Miller’s Bike Chain Addison Caino Cross Bag is part of a larger collection with bike chain detailing. The Addison and the Zoe series have that rough bike particularity which seems to make both men and women highly interested in the new Nicole Miller bags collection. Ranging from $165 to $420, the new designs are fairly reasonable given the leather and the designer finish. However, the question remains: would you wear these Bike Chain Bags? Do you think they make a statement or that they’re just designer tweaks to keep the business au jour? (Nicole Miller via)
Great Wedding Video Style
April 6th, 2011 by kpriss
What if we took the wedding train and talk about bridal things some more? After all, everybody is doing it, with the Royal Wedding on the way!
From what you know about me, would you say I’m more of a formal wedding girl or more of an indie – like wedding girl? I’ll give you a hint if you scroll down and take a look at the video! There’s something so warm, loving, happy and lighthearted about it, I couldn’t do otherwise but present it to you! It’s a Photobooth movie made by Jerome from Photomatonchic at a New York wedding party! I love it! I love the idea, the music, the people who attended! Perfection! (photomatonchic via)
Elle MacPherson Wears White On The Beach
April 6th, 2011 by kpriss
The legendary Elle MacPherson – let’s take a moment to look at this woman, she’s stunning in so many ways, I don’t even know where to begin – was seen running around the beach the other day.
Filming in Cape Town, South Africa, with Gary Lineker, a former English footballer, Elle was the picture of perfection in that white pleated maxi dress or in white jeans shorts and long sleeved blouse paired with that beautiful cowboy hat. I don’t know about you, but I was seriously impressed by her looks and joyful mood! And to think that all this was for a potato chips commercial (Walker’s Crisps)! How didn’t I thought of that?
