Santigold, Spank Rock Alexander Wang T Ad Campaign

While I’m an indisputable fan of Alexander Wang’s T line, it would appear I’m not the only one. Not for a long time, anyways. Alexander Wang has Santigold and Spank Rock’s Naeem Juwan to represent his T label.

I’m unsure if the commercial, which you can watch after the jump, makes people more aware of the Alexander Wang T gorgeousness, but it surely makes you want to move! The music is Santigold’s new single “GO”, a cover of Yeah Yeah Yeahs. I could groove to this in any kind of clothing, let alone in T sublimely comfy casual clothes! Wouldn’t you? (via)

As more pictures from Sarah Jessica Parker’s Vogue August 2011 feature emerge, I find myself both alarmed and amazed. I’ll start with explaining the latter which comes in the form of a dress.

A very special dress, as it cannot be pulled off decently but by a handful of people. Around the world. I do not count Emma Watson (as proved by her Harry Potter premiere moment) or Sarah Jessica Parker among them. However, as I suspect the Vogue people hired an interior decorator to work hard on their August SJP feature, they might have considered his / her advices for fashion styling also. There’s no way Sarah Jessica Parker would have look good in that Bottega Veneta bronze dress unless looked at from above, don’t you agree? (via)

It’s been a while since my last Sasha post, so please be nice with me. And her? Sasha Pivovarova is fronting Juicy Couture’s Viva la Juicy Perfume Ad Campaign as photographed by Inez and Vinoodh.

She’s looking lovely as usual next to the oversized perfume bottle and the fuchsia bow and fuchsia writing (pink is so hot right now). Just like a bit kitty cat. Which. She. Is. Not. Please Sasha, get back in fashion. We miss you? I miss you? (I appreciate Juicy’s aim for Haut/e, I strongly advice them to stick with their own league and contract some other face for their campaigns? I know she gained some weight, but I’m sure Paris Hilton would be more than happy to model for them)

Today it has been announced that Rihanna is the new spokesperson for the Giorgio Armani Underwear and Armani Jeans ad campaigns. Taking over for the Fall Winter 2011 2012 ad campaign from Megan Fox who was previously the face… ahem body of the campaign means that we’ll only have Megan for the Armani Beauty campaigns?

Either way, I’m actually happy they chose Rihanna. Her body is amazing and she seems to be working wonderfully with Steven Klein who was announced as the campaign’s photographer. (you can judge for yourself based on Vogue Italia’s pictures of Rihanna signed Steven Klein). I’m curious about the look they’ll go for, aren’t you? (via)

Now that we talked about the surprise cover from Vogue US for the August 2011 issue (yep, that Sarah Jessica Parker in case you already forgot or wanted to forget – wink) we can safely return to our daily routine. However, before that I’d like your attention for yet another original item of the day (today it’s full of surprises!): Lara Stone’s Vogue Paris August 2011.

Whaaat? Lara Stone in Vogue Paris? Yes, yes, it’s happening, just like SJP for Vogue US! I’m loving the picture, the styling, Lara’s long, gorgeous legs. It may be my sore throat getting to me (Do. Not. Drink. Very. Cold. Water! Even if the heat kills you! It can leave you with an impossibly aching throat and it can keep you away from yummy ice cream for a few days! – sad face. Very sad face). Yeah, so I was saying that my pain can push me into seeing things, but boy, does Lara look like Natalia (Vodianova) on this cover! (is it just me?) (photo via)

Oh, wow! Now that’s something new and original, entirely groundbreaking and revolutionary for Vogue US! For their August 2011 cover, they’ve got Sarah Jessica Parker! Niiiice!

Seriously? She is nice, not that we wouldn’t know her look, her style and her life by heart, however, since she had her twins, I don’t think she covered any Vogue. Did she? Either way, I’m loving the pictures, from the preview it looks like a very happy, shiny pictorial (Mario Testino, biensur)! (oh, and does anyone experience a déjà vu cover pose? If you do, you’re justified, SJP had the same pose for her May 2010 Vogue US cover! They even use the same pink shade for the SJP covers!) (via)

Have you seen Emma Watson’s bronze Bottega Veneta dress? She had such an amazingly different dress for the Harry Potter New York premiere, I don’t even know where to begin!

It’s certainly a new approach of a Red Carpet sartorial move, matched with a heavy golden leaf dark eyes makeup. I’m not certain if I should applaud or cringe Emma’s dress for the occasion, however she continues to impress me with her emotional attitude. She’s happy and sad at the same time and I understand her deeply. Harry Potter was a very important part of her life and she must be feeling strange leaving it all behind now. Amazing. Really. Truly. Amazing. And that’s also because of Tilda Swinton, biensur! (joking!) Tilda on the cover of W Magazine August 2011! You may feel a bit disappointed with the seemingly impersonal cover, however, you may want to hold back your fashhammer and unfold the magazine!
