Marc Jacobs Favorite Gadgets

So here goes another story about Marc Jacobs and what he loves. Because we love him so we want to know everything about him! (if I sound like a crazy fan schoolgirl, don’t worry it’s just the weekend approaching and the project of hosting and organizing three backyard parties in two days! Yaaay! Keep your fingers crossed! Our house is going to look interesting this weekend – wink)

So this time we’ll talk about Marc Jacobs favorite gadgets. Like his BlackBerry (please don’t throw your iPhones out the window! I’m sure the iPhone will be his next season favorite!). Marc Jacobs favorite stationery comes from Benneton Graveur (Paris). Also please not that Marc Jacobs doesn’t – no scratch that! – CAN NOT DRIVE! A car, that is! Fashion people, forget your cars! Right. Now! (to be continued…)

Guess Who? Amber Heard’s Pin Up Ad Campaign For Guess Fall 2011

Because we don’t have enough celebrity to represent fashion and because all our beloved models are vacationing right now (or getting married), there goes Amber Heard for Guess Fall Winter 2011 2012 Ad Campaign.

The Ellen von Unwerth shot photos have surfaced a month or so ago. However, you might want to see the video. Amber is pretty good at what she does, pairing her with Silviu Tolu was a good idea so the entire campaign is Guess spot on. That if you like Guess, of course (to me it’s like a pour man’s sauce of Versace, Gucci and Fendi combined). People never get tired of a good Marilyn impersonator, same ol’, same ol! At least they didn’t book Baptiste for the cowboy role!

Marc Jacobs’ Favorite Grooming Products

There’s a little sneak peek at Marc Jacobs’ favorites drawer. It a big drawer this one, full of anything and everything Marc loves. Hopefully it’s where we will also discover the secret to what makes him so popular, so loved and such an implacable trendsetter!

So what kind of shampoo does Marc Jacobs use? Philip B. What kind of Moisturizer? Joelle Ciocco Crème Riche. He uses Gilette razors (which would explain why he’s looking ungroomed all the time – joking). Marc Jacobs styles his hair with Rene Furtherer Cire Coiffante. (stay tuned for more, as I will spread the Marc Jacobs favorites messages all day long!) (via)

Is Leo DiCaprio Single?

(if you want the short version – no, Leo isn’t single. Yet!) In my stop by the rumors / gossip mill today I found out that Leonardo Di Caprio is still dating Blake Lively, although the interwebs were buzzing about how Leo’s mother, Irmelin, is not ecstatic about the Gossip Girl.

I’m just curious where this is going and how long till the next twenty yo comes fueling Leo’s fountain of youth! The next Vogue sensation, perhaps? Who’ll be Leo’s next sweetheart? (together? or not)

Tyra Banks From Fashion Disaster To Fashion Master Wearing Eyebrow Jewelry

In just a matter of hours! I looked and looked at the pictures below, I kept telling myself that that wasn’t Tyra. Not the Tyra Banks we all know. There is no way she could look like that. Her hair a total frizzy mess (not that there’s anything wrong with frizz! By all means, we’re all here on StyleFrizz and loving it!) and her (how should I put it politely?) tracksuit? Pink unitard tracksuit with a neon yellow belt? Girl, please?

Anyhow, at your right, you’ll see the Tyra we know, all groomed, looking pretty few hours later. I love the feminine reinterpretation of her masculine outfit, I just don’t feel the eyebrow thing. How about you? (remember I warned you about this trend when I last talked about feathers?) You can cast your vote right after the first photo!

Candice Swanepoel’s Versace Eyewear Campaign

Does this mean that Candice Swanepoel, Victoria’s Secret Angel, is the new fashion sensation? It would appear that everyone wants a piece of Candice (and that she has taken, somewhat, Abbey Lee Kershaw’s place this season – has anyone spotted Abbey Lee in a campaign for fall?).

From Tom Ford’s electric’s ads to Mert and Marcus’ Versace Eyewear Fall Winter 2011 2012, Candice is playful and powerful. Fashion powerful. I’m loving it. I’m loving her (way more than I appreciated Abbey Lee, to be honest). Way to go Angels! (via)

Sasha Pivovarova’s Giorgio Armani Fall Winter 2011 2012 Ad Campaign

Now that’s something dramatically different from the Sasha we’re used to! The whimsical, cute – ish, flirty Sasha Pivovarova we saw last in the Maison Michel campaign is no more.

The Giorgio Armani Fall Winter 2011 2012 ad campaign brings us a platinum blonde Sasha with bleached eyebrows, alien stare and furiously red pout as photographed by Mert and Marcus. I’m trying to see beyond the attitude into the spirit of the collection. And I’m saddened by the “prey” feeling I’m getting from this perfect image: furs, reptile skin accessories and prints, cold, animal appeal. Not my style – what’s your take? I’m happy that Sasha gets coverage, though!

Journey To L.A. Via Vogue Paris

After seeing the flawless cover of Vogue Paris with Lara Stone (and Vogue Espana’s daring number with Katie Holmes) the entire pictorial with Lara Stone, Freja Beha Erichsen, Natasha Poly, Arizona Muse, Isabeli Fontana, Raquel Zimmerman has now surfaced. And I thought you should take a look at it.

Well, at least at the noteworthy part of it – the Inez and Vinoodh photographed pictorial is 65 – pages long so I flipped through and selected the most fashionable ones. Either way, I have to admit, the French perspective over Los Angeles is… dubious, to say the least! And choosing that image of Lara as a cover photo was really inspired and inspiring.
