I know this isn’t how we do things around here. However, I just can’t sit back and say nothing. I feel a great loss, even from where I stand. Steve Jobs has passed away.
One of the greatest innovators of all times, a true geek, like we love them so, Steve Jobs has passed away after a long battle with cancer. Already stepped down from his CEO position at the company he has (co) founded in his parents garage, Apple, Steve Jobs was surrounded by his family at the time of his death. Thank you for what you’ve done for the world, Steve Jobs! Rest in peace! What a beautiful collection! What a wonderful designer! And what an amazing way to carry on the legacy of Alexander McQueen!
The Spring Summer 2012 collection from the house of Alexander McQueen, as designed by Sarah Burton, was incredible! They were made to be worn! It’s like those dresses have a life of their own. The ruffles look ready to move on their own, fueled by the overwhelming creative force that spawned them. There’s no way the models will ever wear McQueen. Any and Every Alexander McQueen item wears the model! I’m so curious if any celebrity will dare a McQueen on the Red Carpet! So, so curious! Since she had her baby, Gisele Bundchen is unstoppable – she got her reigning crown back as world’s top earning supermodel and she also launched a lingerie collection with Hope, a Brazilian underwear and swimwear brand.
Being involved with Hope and also the spokesperson for the brand’s lingerie, Gisele put her body and knowledge to good use, teaching women around the world how to break a bad news to their man using the Brazilian method. Because you see, we have the Brazilian wax, the Brazilian Blow and now … this. Take a look and tell me what you think and if the Brazilian Minister for Women should ban this ad, like they’re trying hard to (why? um… because it reinforces the stereotypes on women?) Liya Kebede Starring In Black Gold

And another model on film! This time it’s a veteran edition as Liya Kebede was involved in more than just one movie project.
Black Gold is a star studded production that will debut at the Tribeca FF, October 25. In the movie, Liya plays a slave girl by the name of Aicha. I do not know more details about this and do not wish to know more either. I’m confident that Liya Kebede has put all her heart in this, as she usually does with any other project she’s part of and I can’t wait to see her in more movies. Maybe. Yay for models on films!

Now that’s something: Kristen Stewart has two covers out this month. And a movie. But back to the fashion magazines: Glamour US November 2011 painting Kristen as tween-ish and as awkwardly as she truly is and GQ UK November 2011 trying to pull the woman out of Kristen’s body. And mind.
I’m having troubles getting the GQ feature under my skin, whereas her Glamour pictorial is totally her. Frozen face, unsettled attitude, unsure feminine posing. Yep, that’s Kristen Stewart alright! (and how many times can she open up about Twilight? In how many ways can she be groundbreaking, ice melting original about an already too long franchise?)

Take that belt away, and it all falls back into the sweetest ordinary! This is the perfect example of an outfit went great because of how it’s been accessorized. Both the belt and the bag, which are clearly safari – friendly, tame this glittery romper and turn it to an urban chic asset.
Definitely loving that rompers are here to stay and absolutely loving the green olive shade of this Paul & Joe creation from the Spring Summer 2012 collection!
