Marc Jacobs Celebrates The Holidays. In St Barts With Lorenzo Martone

After a long, hardworking year, Marc Jacobs is taking a break under the sun in St Barts. He may be vacationing, alright, but he took his faithful Hermes Birkin with him. Out of his official designing and trend setting functions, Marc traded his trademark skirt for a pair of skull shorts, black top and black flip flops.

Now you know what the most influential designers wear during their end of the year vacations, you have no more excuses to be the most stylish you can while taking a break under the hot sun. (what’s up with Lorenzo Martone? Are they together again?)

Being a style icon at 90 is definitely something to look up to! Iris Apfel, adorably eclectic and unconventionally stylish has put together a really lovely collection with MAC Cosmetics.

The 20 – piece collection received very interesting, exotic names (“Early Bird”, “Toco Toucan”) in an effort to render Iris Apfel’s fashion. Available this January, this is one of MAC’s collections that I’d love to have, even if I’m not an assiduous makeup user. And I have Iris to “blame” for that – she seems to be such a cheerful spirit!

I was wondering what was Lara Stone doing these days! It would appear that the new ad campaign season was of no interest whatsoever for the lovely blonde. Until… Well, until the new Mercedes Benz Fall Winter 2012 2013 ad campaign came along.

Lara Stone is the new Mercedes Benz spokesperson. And even if I’m having troubles seeing the real message of the campaign photographed by Alex Prager, it’s obvious that a tall, model – like blond girl with black clothes on, black suitcases and a gorgeous, most luxurious convertible is more alluring to a break out / storm out scene than anything else. Anyway, Lara is a fine woman and that is one fine piece of car too! Perfect match, aren’t they? (way better than last year’s Karolina Kurkova matching)

Since we were talking about angels… Victoria’s Secret runway is definitely Leonardo DiCaprio’s registry of (next) girlfriends! Blake Lively was a brief exception to that rule (she still was a Vogue covergirl, so not such an important deviation from the model pattern).

Erin Heatherton is Leo DiCaprio’s latest (model) girlfriend. I’m sure psychologists would have something to say about Mr DiCaprio’s relationship criteria. Well, at least whoever wants a shot at Leo knows what she has to do: model for Victoria’s Secret! (or score a Vogue cover; although I strongly believe lingerie models score higher in Leo’s dating charts!)

It would appear that Victoria’s Secret Angels can’t get enough of having their own little angels. At home. After parading them on the VS catwalk! Alessandra Ambrosio just announced her second pregnancy in a local Portuguese magazine (and yes, she was pregnant during this year’s Victoria’s Secret show!)

This is the second child for Alessandra and Jamie Mazur, her longtime partner. There’s no word on what’ll be (boy or a girl), Alessandra said her next ultrasounds is this very January, so we’ll find out soon enough! Congrats to the happy family, may she have a healthy, safe and easy pregnancy! (Oh, and we can’t wait for the baby pictures! Wink! I’m sure Anja, Alessandra’s 2yo girl will be a delightfully beautiful bigger sister!)

Since I started talking about the new Hollywood wave – you know, the kinds of Ryan Gosling and Michael Pitt here, I just couldn’t leave it to rest without a special mention. One of my favorite young actresses of the moment is Emma Stone. Have you seen Crazy, Stupid Love? (just a random example. With both Ryan and Emma) Beautiful! Just beautiful! If you haven’t had the pleasure yet, please do try!

So that marks the main reason I wanted to bring Emma Stone into the picture today. The second reason, obviously, is her fronting the Revlon Spring Summer 2012 Ad Campaign. Photographed by Craig McDean, Emma is adorable and her perfectly coral makeup (and coral top) makes me wish for summer. Isn’t she lovely?

We’ve seen how the famous and the stylish ones go for a designer thing when it comes to their babies. Yeah, I’m talking about those Missoni Strollers? Soooo fashionable!

Rumor has it there’s going to be some serious competition for Missoni’s Bugaboos soon: Fendi has teamed up with Inglesina, an Italian baby products label. Together they created a baby carrier, a stroller and a pram, all in cream, mahogany, blue with Fendi’s F logo all around.

As we can all agree, the wee ones can’t tell the difference. They’re brand – blind, practically. So, like a personal curiosity (and because, like a mom, I always favored the baby’s/kid’s comfort and the level of specialization in baby products before brands and labels), I’ll pop this question for all the parents out there: do you really think a designer baby stroller means your baby’s stroller is more comfortable and/or safer? Or it’s just a question of fashion and personal preferences? (and if so, which designer, what reputed brand would you like to have around your wee one/s?)

Remember that video with Chloe Sevigny showing us around her home, and, most importantly, around her wardrobe?
