Marc Jacobs Still Talking About Refusing The Dior Position
January 10th, 2012 by kpriss
Weeks are going by, not one day is like the other but Marc Jacobs is still stuck on not taking that Dior position! After talking about it in Vogue he’s now saying it to the Telegraph. Same tune, different lyrics (please refrain yourself from raising them beautiful eyebrows but feel free to comment below! Please, bring back Galliano?):
‘…Mr Arnault is a super intelligent man and a very smart man and it was certainly a very great honour for him to know that I was capable – and not only capable but that I am someone that he would have wanted for the job. But I am very happy to be here. There is so much more left to do and building Louis Vuitton into a fashion company is something nobody else can say they really started. […] but we agreed that it was probably best for everyone.’

Justin Bieber’s V Magazine Cover Is All Kinds Of Wrong
January 10th, 2012 by kpriss
While it would appear that Inez and Vinoodh are V magazine’s photographers of choice and we love them for that, the same does not apply to V magazine’s covers. Although photographed by Inez and Vinoodh. Confusing, isn’t it?
Well, that’s maybe because is exactly how I felt when I saw Justin Bieber’s V cover? Confused. And disoriented. I know I may be experiencing that because I’m not in Justin Bieber’s target group age, but V’s spring 2012 issue is to blame for that too. I mean – if it were Teen Vogue, I would’ve surely understand. But V? And look at the boy’s face, for cryin’? Doesn’t he know he’s one of the worst selling magazines covers? And that shredded fabric t-shirt? I’m sure he would’ve looked better (and a thousand times more appropriate) with a Mickey Mouse tee!
If he’s the Pop Crown Prince, I think our music’s future is a bit blurry! Oh – now I see it – he’s wearing Dolce & Gabbana! At 18! Yeah! Definitely! Our music’s future is in trouble! (and if you think the cover is weird, wait till you see some of the inside pictures! Hit the jump!)
Beyonce Gives Birth; Solange Is A Model
January 10th, 2012 by kpriss
With her sister all busy with her little bundle of joy (who, btw, is named Blue Ivy, not the other way around!) and her music career under a big question mark (really – what did Solange Knowles do in the last … well … couple of years?), Solange was signed with Next Models and really praised by Vogue for doing so. Honestly? With all their unconvincing covers, it doesn’t surprise me at all to have Solange Knowles as Vogue UK’s Next Big Thing!
Ombre (Gradient) Nails, The New It Manicure
January 10th, 2012 by kpriss
As a self confessed French girl (I’m talking manicure, biensur!), I was really alarmed when I stumbled upon this really short piece of news saying that Ombre Manicure was the new French Manicure! When did that happen? Who’s to say that? Does this mean I’ll have to ditch my trademark immaculate white tips for something else? What else? What is this? Noooo! Paaanic!
So I pulled myself together, did some research and this was my conclusion: Ombre is the new must! Anything you have is better in ombre! New fabulous hairdo? Biensur, it’s ombre! New gorgeous dress? Of course, it’s ombre! The curtains you found and stole your heart? Ombre aussi! The new must try cake? You guessed it right – ombre toujours!
So my daahlings, we have to ombre! Now let’s hit the jump for a closer inspection of Gradient nails! And anything else gradient!

Azzedine Alaia Interiors For Hotel 3 Rooms Paris
January 9th, 2012 by kpriss
There’s this little hotel in Paris called Hotel 3 Rooms located in the 4th Arrondissement, 5 Rue de Moussy to be more specific which wouldn’t have made its way here without some significant fashion revamping. The reputed designer Azzedine Alaia is responsible for the concept and the decoration of the three suites (a total of 300sqm) – even the food is prepared and served from his private kitchen, located an arm stretch away from the said hotel.
Aside from it being designed by Azzedine Alaia, I can’t put my finger on something really impressive when looking at these interiors. Sure, the couch has the wow – factor to the max, the furniture is under the minimal sign, young designers and vintage go together hand in hand. But… where’s the coziness of it all? Do fashion people live in such soul-less, desert environments? (be sure to check the rest of the images after the jump for a better understanding of Azzedine Alaia’s interior decoration attitude)

The New Must Have Tattoo: Live Without Regrets
January 9th, 2012 by kpriss
Lindsay Lohan who is more famous for her in and out of jail / court antics than her acting (which was, after all, what brought her to our attention in the first place) is now making a statement in ink. A new tattoo was written on her left hand “Live Without Regrets”. Still uncertain what is the particular significance of the tattoo in LiLo’s case, however, we do know that Hayden Panettiere has a similar one. In misspelled Italian. How long till you get yours, Kim Kardashian?
Leggy Anja Rubik For Giuseppe Zanotti Spring Summer 2012 Ad Campaign
January 9th, 2012 by kpriss
If there’s someone in the fashion industry right now I can go ahead and recognize without looking at her face and just by seeing her legs it’s Anja Rubik. Her physique is impressive! So it’s really no surprise to see her showing so much leg in Giuseppe Zanotti’s Spring Summer 2012 Ad Campaign!
Especially since she already declared her love for the brand (she also wore Zanotti shoes for her wedding). We all have Inez and Vinoodh to thank for these amazing pictures of Anja! (too bad about the ocean backdrop – it’s so cliché, isn’t it?)
