Meet The Fashion Family!
January 13th, 2012 by kpriss
I have to say I favor tan suede and jeans during the cold season. And whenever I try to put together a comfy outfit, I never rule those two in various combinations. If yesterday I was feeling blue and really worried about the new trends, today I found peace just by looking at this Fashion Family as captured by Dapper Lou! Aren’t they lovely?
Fall 2012 Trends. Louis Vuitton Pre Fall 2012 Collection
January 13th, 2012 by kpriss
A universal truth in the fashion world is that whatever Marc Jacobs creates, instantly becomes a must. As such, it is now safe to assume that fall 2012 trends were illustrated in Louis Vuitton’s Pre Fall 2012 collection.
2012 Fall’s silhouette: 1940’s silhouette (secondary Men Military, belted baby doll dresses). 2012 Fall’s colors: yellow, military green, soft gray (secondary: black, beige, soft pink, dark blue, brown) 2012 Fall’s must wear: fur. It’s an overall retro filled fall, so go stock while on sales, 2012 fall is practically one season away! (wink)
Fatima Siad’s Herve Leger Spring Summer 2012 Ad Campaign
January 13th, 2012 by kpriss
Fatima Said is a notorious contestant in America’s Next Top Model’s TV Show. Her beauty and, I’m sure, her modeling skills, have landed her a major ad campaign this season: Herve Leger Spring Summer 2012. The first image has just landed and it worries me a bit.
As happy as I am for the opportunity, as enchanted as I am by the visuals, I still have some reserves about placing Fatima next to a white horse. Am I just being paranoid, should I calm my fashion nerves and simply call it a beautiful campaign and move on?

Congrats to her and her husband for the wonderful news! It’s an amazing time for anyone, may they be blessed with a healthy, happy baby! Molly Sims is joining the pregnant models club who, apparently, decided to turn baby belly into a trendy sight this year!
Mattel’s Barbie Is Not A Free Doll
January 13th, 2012 by kpriss
As a mother to a wonderful little girl (and her three restless, equally wonderful brothers), I can only say that I was saddened by this story about Barbie. More, despite it being as legendary as Lego blocks (which you can’t do otherwise but literally step on in our Adored House, that’s how much the kids enjoy playing it with them), I definitely take into consideration turning this House into a Barbie free House!
And here’s why: Jane Binghham and Rebecca Sypin have submitted an online petition to Mattel trying to get them to create the Beautiful and Bald Barbie. Bingham and Sypin’s 12yo daughter have lost their hair from undergoing chemotherapy as part of their cancer treatment program. Facebook helped in spreading the word and soon it has reached the media – CNN and those alike haven’t heard any word from Mattel other than a letter to Sypin and Bingham, in response to their submission: “Mattel doesn’t accept ideas from outside sources”.
I think the phrase above speaks for itself, sadly. There’s no need for further comment, although, if you’re interested in facts, you’ll find plenty to read here. From now on, I will only look at Barbie with sad eyes, knowing that she’s not free. As such, she has no place in our Free Adored House! Barbie, be gone! (sad face)
Chloe Moretz, Michelle Williams In Chanel Dresses For 2012 Critics Choice Movie Awards
January 13th, 2012 by kpriss
My absolute favorite Red Carpet appearance at the 2012 Critics Choice Movie Awards ceremony was the lovely Chloe Moretz. And I’m not saying that because of her sweet smile or adorable features! I’m saying that especially because of the dress she was wearing!
Chanel, my daaahlings! Chloe Moretz was wearing a Chanel gray dress for the 2012 Critics Choice Awards! And she was wearing it so well! It’s not the most colorful dress (duh!) but sure looks nice on Chloe, even age appropriate! The same I cannot say about Michelle William’s Chanel black and white dress. Although flawless and pretty statuesque, it’s one of those couture unpleasant happenings which will be praised only because of their iconic label. It’s not a mid – length wrap dress, it’s not a floor length gown. It’s an undefined hybrid to my eyes. Which one of the Chanel girls would you choose to praise and why?

Redheads, Wear Soft Pink! Jessica Chastain’s Balenciaga Pink Dress For 2012 Crictis Choice Awards
January 13th, 2012 by kpriss
I’m not much of a redhead specialist, but I know for sure that soft pink hues and redheads wouldn’t have paired in my head under no fashionable circumstance! Jessica Chastain’s Balenciaga soft pink dress was my pleasant surprise on the 2012 Critics Choice Awards Red Carpet. Naturally, I made a style amendment after seeing her: redheads and soft pink make an excellent fashion match!
Emma Stone’s Jason Wu Green Dress For 2012 Critics Choice Movie Awards
January 13th, 2012 by kpriss
Wow! I haven’t even had the time to catch my (uh, fashionable) breath after the 2012 edition of the People’s Choice Awards and there it goes: the Red Carpet rolled out for yet another awards ceremony! 2012 Critics Choice Movie Awards.
Biensur Emma Stone is yet another favorite of mine: she was beautiful, yet not overdressed for the occasion, with a green (tree printed) Jason Wu dress (from the pre-fall 2012 collection). Will we be seeing more of green – designer outfits for this awards season? I sure hope so, Emma does looks lovely in green!
