Lanvin Spring Summer 2012 Ad Campaign Video
February 7th, 2012 by kpriss
I was really happy to hear that Lanvin released their Spring Summer 2012 Ad Campaign! I was curious to see what other model is trying to convince me to do Dance Central wearing high heels and really short dresses!
I was so wrong! No Dance Central this time! Only a highly “Exotic and Festive Dinner Party” as shot by Steven Meisel with House and Holme directing. The song was performed by Maxine Ashley and it’s called Cookieman. It’s an interesting campaign. In a sinister kind of way. But I guess fashion doesn’t always has to be about having fun, right? What did you say? That I’m clearly a person who lacks a fashion sophisticated eye? Maybe so, but I do looove to have heartful, colorful fun! And this is neither!

The time of the trench coat approaches and what better, more iconic piece than a Burberry beige trench coat? Here’s Burberry Spring Summer 2012 Ad Campaign with British actor and model Eddie Redmayne and Clara Delevigne, photographed by Mario Testino. Wait a minute? Didn’t Mario Testino photograph Eddie and Karlie and now they’re a couple? Does this mean… ?
Edward Norton And Daria Werbowy Together For Prada LG Phone Ad Campaign
February 7th, 2012 by kpriss
I know Prada is big right now and I admire each and every enterprise Miuccia Prada gets herself into. Thus, a Prada mobile phone sounds like an interesting acquisition – especially for the fashion crowd! It’s not the first collaboration between Prada and LG – it’s actually their third model up to date.
And the first to involve the amazing Edward Norton (yes, yes, alongside the beautiful Daria Werbowy and photographed by David Sims) – what’s he up to these days? Besides cashing in for Prada and LG? (which is really surprising, to say the least) (if you need some specifications about the new phone, hit the jump – you’ll also find a behind the scenes video with Daria and Norton)

Uma Thurman Looks Sad In Vogue Italia February 2012
February 7th, 2012 by kpriss
There’s a particularly interesting piece in Vogue Italia’s February 2012 issue: Uma Thurman has been photographed by Peter Lindbergh in a very dark, sad, rainy, turn – off – ish mood. Uma is looking so misplaced, so haunted and haunting, it could easily show a thing or two to Mr. Tarantino about setting up and certain mood. Consider yourselves warned, though – you’d be buying a particularly sad moment in the pages of Vogue! Talk about economic depression, huh?
Daphne Guinness Tribute To Alexander McQueen: Lady White Snake
February 7th, 2012 by kpriss
The continuous love story between the designer and his muse is one of the things which will continue to fascinate me – in this case, Daphne Guinness brings yet another tribute to the memory and the work of the immensely talented Alexander McQueen.
Lady White Snake is a new fashion film directed by Indrani, starring Daphne Guinness who gets to wear some very interesting pieces (from Alexander McQueen, Genghis Khan (?), Gareth Pugh, Philip Treacy, Fred Leighton, Bess) and behaves like the walking rare art form that she is. The legend in itself, although not a happy one, has been romanticized over the years and this could be one of those love-y forms, depicting a sentimental story between Daphne and, possibly, Alexander McQueen. Liu Wen’s Diesel Spring Summer 2012 Ad Campaign
February 7th, 2012 by kpriss
Here’s the gorgeous Liu Wen acting as a spokesperson for Diesel’s new Spring Summer 2012 Ad Campaign. She was photographed by Mert and Marcus for the occasion and the Diesel clothes she’s wearing are… well, suffice to say I want a pair of those incredibly looking leather pants! Also – next time someone asks who was first – the egg or the chicken, do swear on your most honorable fashion self that it was Diesel!
Karl Lagerfeld’s Metro Is Out
February 7th, 2012 by kpriss
Metro is a global newspaper which is distributed in 100 cities from 22 countries around the world. There’s hardly a better medium for Karl Lagerfeld to distribute himself through. For oh so many reasons! First – it’s a printed word. Karl Lagerfeld looooves the printed word (remember his impressive collection of books?). Plus – it’s yet another reason to talk about himself and everything he does or he wants. And that is something Karl Lagerfeld never refuses.
And we’re delighted, aren’t we? His self portrait drawing, on the very cover of his guest editor edition of Metro is an ageless depiction of his persona, something he believes in – that he is a man of every generation. However – there’s so much more in this issue! Check out the teaser right after the jump!
