2012 Hair Trends
February 15th, 2012 by kpriss
We talked about the main makeup trends in 2012, now let’s see the hair deal! It’s summer, so we’re all thinking updos, pulling your hair up in places where the sweat and the pool water can’t touch. So there we go: pony tails – tie them up, down or at the middle, pony tails are big for 2012.
Bejeweled, sophisticated buns, intricate twists and braids galore will turn your hair into a very trendy hair for spring summer 2012, said HB. As for letting your hair down options: big, retro blowouts or modern, slight wave and wet like looking hair are your only options. Which is the hair style you’ll most likely adopt for spring summer 2012? (I think I’ll go for the wet look with a little help from my beloved shea butter and for messy buns and twists for a quick school run)
Rodarte Shoes Fall Winter 2012 2013
February 15th, 2012 by kpriss
If the clothes went frilly, the shoes kept something reminding of Rodarte’s seasons past edginess. The metal patches on the shoes heels were a sign that the essence of the Rodarte house is still there, regardless of trends and seasons inspirations.
The industrial vibe got a retro makeover for the Fall Winter 2012 2013 season and the shoes, this time made in – house, according to style dot com (although it’s hard to believe Nicholas Kirkwood‘s genius, who made such coveted shoes for Rodarte, was a complete stranger to this new footwork signed Rodarte!)
Here’s Sienna Miller’s Baby Bump!
February 15th, 2012 by kpriss
Rumors about Sienna Miller being pregnant surfaced weeks ago. But there was no confirmation or visuals saying if it was true or not. Yesterday, however, all that changed when Sienna Miller showed up at a fancy fashionable event looking amazing. And pretty pregnant!
Sienna is expecting her first child (with boyfriend Tom Sturridge) in July, according to tDM, and she showed no signs of slowing down her fashion rhythm. Her black dress hid some pretty tall blue platform sandals while her face was glowing and looking really happy. But… what do we know? We only see pictures and they sure know how to make pretty for the camera, don’t they? Anyway, congrats to Sienna! Pregnancy sure suits her!

Models Favorite Sneakers: Isabel Marant Willow Sneakers
February 15th, 2012 by kpriss
I know you’ll think I lost all my fashion good sense and style politeness, but do mark my words – sneakers can save you a lot of feet trouble! And when you can do that in absolute style with the highest fashion approval, why think twice?
I’ll tell you why: because as pretty and as fit they’d look on a model, there’s a high chance these beauties won’t look the same on you! (on me, and the entire human race. Other than models. Biensur) Isabel Marant Willow Sneakers seem to be the models favorite sneakers. From seasons past, at least.
The $760 fashion sneakers are no longer available online, according to Modelinia (I heard you can get them for as high as $1,000 on ebay) and it’s safe to call them the Birkin of sneakers! Waiting, hunting lists have been made and the said shoe is the Holy Graal of fashionistas out there! (I’m guessing you’d have to own at least one in every color available to prove your passion for fashion, huh?)
Unexpectedly Wearable: Rodarte Fall Winter 2012 2013
February 15th, 2012 by kpriss
Ruffles on Rodarte’s catwalk? I never though I’d see such feminine, playful cuts in a Rodarte collection! Fall Winter 2012 2013 brought more than just leather, shearling and wool – it added a new, approachable dimension to the Rodarte name. Either way, you’ll have to give it to the style dot com people who are convinced that we’ll see plenty of Rodarte coats on the street come fall! Ha! I’m sure four – figures coats are in everyone’s planned budged for 2012!
2012 Makeup Trends
February 15th, 2012 by kpriss
I was just browsing today, with no specific direction whatsoever, although headed to NYFW various coverage sources. And I though that, once again, I’m looking at next season’s fashion without fully knowing what the immediately upcoming season is all about. So here I am, trying to make up for that.
Make up, literally. The main trends in 2012 summer makeup. While your face needs to be in its top shape (think baby skin, forget about suntan or any other fake tan), your lips will take the color of roses.
If you want to be in trend, during the spring and summer of 2012 you’ll have to either wear shades of red (in matte or glossy) or pale hints of peach or pink (also in matte or glossy). You cheeks will have to look healthy pink, not too much sun kissed, just healthy. (hit the jump to see what suits you from this season’s beauty trends, as reported by HB!)
Christina Aguilera Covers Latina March 2012 In McQueen
February 15th, 2012 by kpriss
Being a person who is usually light on jewelry, I was particularly interested in Christina Aguilera‘s sparkling moment for Latina Magazine. Both on the cover and in the inside pictorial, Christina displays a heavy amount of bling (that and the fact that she’s wearing Alexander McQueen on the cover – sadly, we can’t see much of the dress, the styling people only had eyes for the bling – I wonder what was the point in dressing her in McQueen anyway).
Since the rings come from Loree Rodkin, Pamela Love and Roseark, is it safe to declare that Christina’s collaboration with Stephan Webster is over and out? (oh, and just in case you were wondering – the photos were taken by Alix Malka and the earrings come from Lanvin)

Natalia Vodianova’s Stuart Weitzman New York Ad Campaign
February 15th, 2012 by kpriss
Remember we talked about Natalia Vodianova’s ad campaign for Stuart Weitzman’s affordable Million Dollar sandals? Predictably, she’s also the face of Stuart Weitzman’s main 2012 ad campaign.
This time, only, Mario Testino photographed Natalia wearing a little more than her Weitzman sandals: white skinny pants, white hat and bodywear. Because, obviously, these sandals cost just about enough to give your budget enough space for the basics! Duh! (if the costs of the campaign are any indication, this marketing project was estimated at appx $3,5 Million, according to wwd)
