Agyness Deyn’s Dr. Martens First Love Spring Summer 2012 Ad Campaign

Dr Martens and Agyness Deyn seem to be a match made in heaven. The video ad campaign, First Love shows an artsy moment with her and Ash Symest (who is, at least at the moment of conceiving this video, Agyness love interest; there’s no telling if things stayed the same until this very moment)

The video will surely impress the young audience but also those who hold on to their classic Doc Martens. How about you? What’s your (walking) experience with Dr Martens boots?

Skirts Are In

It would appear that one of the most important trends right now is layering a skirt over a dress. I though I was seeing double when the lovely Diane Kruger wore a black and white skirt over an otherwise dull green printed dress.

I was really puzzled about Karolina Kurkova’s gray mini skirt over a lace dress days ago and now I finally found out I’m not the only one noticing this layer thing going on: layering skirts over dresses is the new it when attending a fancy Red Carpet event. Stylists love it, do we?

Is This Jourdan Dunn’s Tattoo?

Michael Kors catwalk was perfect, the collection in itself was charming, there was just one flaw to it! (yes, I’m aware how that sounds after I declares my love for both the clothes and the shoes!)

So, the flaw: it was a white catwalk. With just one exception: Jourdan Dunn! She’s lovely, alright, but she doesn’t make up for the lack of black or Asian models. Among the beauty shots from the show’s backstage, was this rather impressive tattoo on Jourdan Dunn’s back (it is Jourdan, isn’t it?). What does it stand for, anyone has any ideas?

Michael Kors Shoes Fall Winter 2012 2013

Yesterday I was charmed by the industrial beauty still mastered by Rodarte’s new shoes collection. Today I’m all about Michael Kors. Because you see, in fashion, one can’t serve just one master! Inspiration is a tricky temptress.

Have you seen Michael Kors’ Mary Janes? They were perfect! Perfectly balanced, completely wearable and street suitable and pairing them with wool socks seems so natural and comfy! If you want to point out a shoe trend for Fall Winter 2012 2013, it’s the metal patched heel! (definitely loving it!) (more images with details from the fashion show here)

Barbie William and Kate Wedding Anniversary Dolls

Celebrating the one year Royal Wedding Anniversary mark this year, Barbie issues a special edition dolls: Will and Kate Barbie dolls. Wearing replicas of the Royal bridal wear, with a replica wedding bouquet and a tiny plastic sapphire ring, the Royal couple in Barbie’s interpretation will be available on Amazon for £99.99 ($155) starting April 7.

As far as it was initially reported, the Royal Barbie dolls won’t be available in the US, but I’m sure some items will make it as far as ebay and from there it’s practically a click – away distance between the two continents. Would you be interested in the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge dolls?

New Balance Road To London Sneakers Collection

We’ve talked about London hosting the 2012 Olympic Games – it’s a special event, meant to inspire so many related products! It just so happens that I’m on a sneakers spree (I think I feel summer approaching… plus: Isabel Marant’s $700 – something sneakers had me looking for more affordable options) and I found this charming new collection from New Balance.

New Balance Road To London is a collection – you guessed it right – inspired and dedicated to the 2012 Olympic Games. The iconic 420 and 574 with an Union Jack makeover; an important detail – both models are said to be handmade in a Flimby factory (the home of New Balance, situated along England’s North West coast) which celebrates its 30th anniversary this year! I love the new sneakers! I’d take the “Road to London” any day! Would you?

Put A Belt On It! Michael Kors Fall 2012

I think it’s safe to say that this was my favorite Fashion Week show so far. Michael Kors Fall Winter 2012 2013 had everything running: belts, leather, wool, fur, tartan, the right colors and the good cuts that’ll turn this collection into a sellout! Wearable, bourgeois, resort – appropriate and youthful! Victoria Beckham was rightfully wearing tartan the other day – belt your tartan, ladies, and you’re in the hip crowd next fall! (the entire collection here)
