Claudia Schiffer’s 30 Sexy Years For Guess
March 29th, 2012 by kpriss
I wonder what she’s eating! Cause whatever she’s having, I want it too! In 1989, Claudia Schiffer was doing an ad campaign for Guess. 23 years later, in 2012, Claudia Schiffer is, once again, doing an ad campaign for Guess.
And “Guess” what? (pun intended) She looks like she hasn’t aged a day! 23 years! I’m amazed! Photographed by the same amazing Ellen von Unwerth, Claudia Schiffer is doing her best Bardot thingie for Guess 30 Sexy Years ad campaign, after 23 years and three kids. If you’ll hear anyone saying bad things about this advertising campaign, it’s envy talking, I’ll tell you that much! (at right the 2012 ads and at left, the 1989 ads)
Color Of The Year, Tangerine Tango: Pantone Sephora 2012
March 29th, 2012 by kpriss
Can you believe there’s officially a “color of the year”? And despite of me calling it “coral” for many, many years, the absolute color authority, Pantone, named it “Tangerine Tango”. And so now you know, tangerine tango is the color of the year, 2012.
Sephora joined Pantone for a makeup collection with eyeliner, lipsticks, eye shadow and even makeup brushes in the said color. It really sounds like a good marketing idea and the actual products look lovely. Not to mention that they’re tinted in the color of the year! (now available at Sephora with prices from $7 to $68). Have you tried the new Pantone Sephora collection? Will you give it a tint?

Victoria Beckham’s Harper’s Bazaar UK May 2012
March 29th, 2012 by kpriss
Victoria Beckham on a magazine cover. How cliché. But what a lovely cliché! Victoria Beckham is the story of success everyone can dream of. Rising to fame with the Spice Girls and getting married with one of Britain’s most desirable (public) figure (just in case you forgot, it’s David Beckham we’re talking about – wink), Victoria seems to have won the life’s lottery whenever she’s talking about her perfect life.
And, honestly, I love that. Positivity. Positivity is good. Positivity makes my world go round! So although we’ve heard the story a thousand times before, we know so much about the Beckhams already, so many magazines before Harper’s Bazaar UK May 2012 have had Victoria on the cover, I still don’t mind. Slightly boring but still enjoyable, Harper’s cover is a hydrangea fashion heaven.
Alexander Wang Sued For Operating Sweatshop By A Revengeful Fired Employee
March 29th, 2012 by kpriss
When I first heard that Alexander Wang was being sued for running a sweatshop, I was shocked. I couldn’t believe it.
And although Wang continually denied the accusations that were being imposed to him, it’s only today that I finally solved the Wang sweatshop mystery: the designer was being sued by a former employee who was fired for bullying his co – workers. Venom. Once a bully, always a bully.

Roses In Her Hair
March 28th, 2012 by kpriss
I’ve always been a fan of headpieces. Wearing a giant bow, a fancy flower, I love wearing something in my hair, on my head. For fun, for fashion. For fashion fun.
Hopefully you’ll soon discover the joy of wearing headpieces too, if you’re not already practicing the headpiece wearing sport! I found this impeccably flamboyant rose-y headpiece (can I actually associate flamboyant and white?) and I thought it’s a challenge to wear it. And wear it well! Lara Mullen (the model) looks so delicate in one of this season’s most appreciated trends: immaculate white and the headpieces come from Jane Taylor Millinery. These pictures (two more follow after the jump, so don’t hold back!) were styled by Lucinda Chambers for Vogue UK.
Marie Claire China’s Pictorial Looking Like Louis Vuitton Spring Campaign
March 28th, 2012 by kpriss
We know pastels and soft, lace-y fashion approaches are de rigueur this season. Louis Vuitton’s ice cream ad campaign made our heart melt right on the spot! And I’m sure it was a global feeling, a single look at Marie Claire’s China pictorial with Masha P and Anna I is enough to understand the crushing influence of Louis Vuitton on the fashion world!
(if you’re having a hard time remembering the LV ad, hit the jump to see the two of them side by side) Luckily for stylist Guillaume Boulez, there was more to the pictorial signed by Amber Gray than the LV copycat! Check out the video right after the jump! Now excuse me while I take the kitchen by storm with my new cake crave induced by this Marie Claire pictorial!
