Casual Perfection: Navy, Stripes And Yellow
May 6th, 2012 by kpriss
There are days when, although I have a big idea about what to wear, I feel like something’s missing from the big style picture. Something that’ll make the outfit special.
Stripes are a fashion must. Navy stripes for summer make perfect casual style outfits. Sunshine yellow is great to make navy stripes pop! So simple and great, huh? {I haven’t located the rightful owner of the picture, although I searched assiduously, please step forward if you have information!}

ACDC Thunderstruck From Battleship Soundtrack
May 6th, 2012 by kpriss
Hello my dahlings! How was your Cinco de Mayo? I’ll get more into that later, but for now I’d like to talk to you about something that’s been on my mind for a couple of days: Battleship. Have you seen it?
We did. And we were very pleasantly surprised by it! As you know, we’re not big fans of teaser trailers. In fact, we love experiencing a movie firsthand, without being teased at all, without seeing any trailer or reading anything previous to actually watching the movie. First is first: I’ll start by sharing the wonderful soundtrack of Battleship: AC / DC Thunderstruck – and continue the talk after the jump!
Kim Kardashian’s True Reflection. Perfume
May 4th, 2012 by kpriss
Kim Kardashian. This is the name they’ll write under “TV reality show” in history books. I don’t think I’ve ever seen someone so famous for no reason at all. Anyway, Kim Kardashian is reportedly releasing another perfume. Her third up to date, called “True Reflection”. Advertising for the fragrance in question, Kim Kardashian puts on, takes of clothes, you know, the usual luxury mimic thing. Will she ever slow down? {wwd}
Favorite Summer Dresses: Hand Painted Three Tier Isoude Dress
May 4th, 2012 by kpriss
There are times when I dream of affordable little dresses for summer, and there are times, like right now, when I can only imagine I’d get close to a beauty like this, forget actually owning the real deal!
My dahlings, I give you a fascinating dress, a hand painted three tier dress from Isoude. I’d wear this dress anywhere: pair it with a classic jeans vest and flat sandals for casual times and really let myself go in pair of fancy heels, a simple pair, nothing to extraordinary, I wouldn’t want the shoes stealing the outfit glory! And I’d wear this to a cocktail, a wedding, any special occasion! It’s really a beautiful dress (with a rather spicy price tag of $4,020 – sigh!). Isn’t it?
Natasha Poly’s Ange Ou Demon Givenchy Perfume Ad Campaign
May 4th, 2012 by kpriss
Wasn’t Uma Thurman Givenchy’s Ange ou Demon girl? I thought so too… Well, anyway, since she’s pregnant and all, she’s not Givenchy’s Ange ou Demon anymore. Natasha Poly is. So there she goes, trying to convince us that she’s either one or the other. I say they should’ve put more clothes on her if they really wanted us to believe Natasha could be an Angel… {FgR}
Anna Dello Russo H & M Accessories Collection
May 4th, 2012 by kpriss
When did this happen? So today I was peacefully reading the news when I was really disturbed by two events. Anna Dello Russo launching a collection with H & M was one of them. I know she makes fashion fun (although it seems like she’s making fun of fashion) and people look up to her style and personality. But from here to doing a collection with H & M still sounds like a marketing trick to me.
Anna Dello Russo jewelry, shoes, bags, everything you can call accessory, you’ll find in the H & M Anna dello Russo collection, this October. And I thought Versace was the supreme manifestation of excess on H & M’s racks. I was so wrong! You’ve never known excess until you’ve opened Anna dello Russo’s book of style! The Guardian of Fashion, like she calls herself! (check out the video after the jump!)
Jourdan Dunn, Ginta Lapina For YSL Touche Eclat Liquid Foundation
May 4th, 2012 by kpriss
Although I was convinced that Yves Saint Laurent’s Touche Eclat Foundation was already happening for a while (remember I asked you if you tried this special foundation when we saw Jourdan fronting the campaign?), it’s barely happening, as reported by wwd.
YSL Touche Eclat is certainly one of those revolutionary products that changed the industry forever. I’m not a makeup enthusiast but I’ll always have these three products in my makeup case: YSL Touche Eclat, a Lancome mascara and an eye khol.
Long story short: if you haven’t tried this already, my dahlings, it’s big time to do so! Especially since YSL added the YSL Touche Eclat liquid foundation to the line! (and if Jourdan Dunn and Ginta Lapina were photographed separately until now, the new ad campaign shows the two beauties together)
Angela Molina Covers Harper’s Bazaar In Loewe
May 3rd, 2012 by kpriss
We knew leather is big for the next season, but when such a beautiful lady like Angela Molina is wearing leather is much more than a fashion trend alignment – is a state of fashion art! Just look at her – she’s a 56yo lady. Emphasis on lady!
Angela Molina is a great Spanish actress (just to pinpoint her – one of Pedro Almodovar’s favorite actresses, alongside Penelope Cruz with whom she even starred in Almodovar’s Broken Embraces, in 2009). But her attitude, on this Harper’s Bazaar Espana April 2012 cover has that special something that’ll haunt you (in a good way). Wouldn’t you say?
