The Devil Wears Prada Returns. Good Or Bad Idea?
June 4th, 2012 by kpriss
Have you heard that particularly interesting rumor according to which the sequel to the absolute fashion movie The Devil Wears Prada is happening?
If turned into a movie, Revenge Wears Prada: The Devil Returns (the second book), talks about Andrea Sachs’ successful foray into magazine publishing and her re – encounter with her former boss, the one who should not be named Anna Wintour. Oups! Umm, I mean Miranda Priestly!
As happy as I could be to see Meryl’s fierce interpretation of a fearless supreme fashion magazine editor, I doubt a sequel to the legendary Devil Wears Prada could ever meet the fame of the original. A prequel, maybe? Where we’re shown why and since when the world is so hot against perfectionists like Miranda!

Pressured To Drop Ellen DeGeneres, JCPenney Responds With Gay Father’s Day Campaign
June 1st, 2012 by kpriss
The world is changing! For the better, hopefully! JCPenney who publicly announced Ellen DeGeneres as their spokesperson a while ago, was constantly under conservative fire for their bold marketing move.
As if hiring Ellen was a move dictated mainly by her intimate convictions and not by her overwhelmingly pleasant personality! Today I feel proud and full of hope that we’re finally adjusting ourselves to the current reality: not only did JCPenney refused to give into the boycott, but they released a Father’s Day ad campaign featuring a “two – dads family”!
Real life dads Todd Koch and Cooper Smith with their kids, Claire and Mason! Welcome to JCPenney! People of the world, there’s no color, no gender to happiness! Just BE happy! And embrace happiness! Wherever, whenever!
What Do Guys Think About Our Swimsuits. Really?
June 1st, 2012 by kpriss
That’s the general anchor title meant to catch many insecure young women in their fash – fishing net. But is there really a quiz behind this type of articles?
Generally no. Almost always, this kind of “polls” – type articles falls into the hands of some aspiring junior editor who’s imagining the entire story in his / her mind only.
Like… who would believe they asked a guy what he thinks about furry beach boots? {Glamour}
Mango Vs. Kate Moss: The Awkward Interview
June 1st, 2012 by kpriss
We all know Kate Moss and her famous public silence (as imposed by her ex – beau, Johnny Depp). We love her anyway. But what do we get when Kate does speak. Finally? (well, she did speak before, but this particular Mango interview has put her in a really awkward position)
Collaborating with the Spanish giant retailer Mango, Kate Moss is not just the pretty face & the flawless body fronting the brand’s ad campaigns for four seasons already. She’s also the brand’s ambassador for special events. Such as a young fashion designers competition and subsequent awards ceremony. For the occasion, Mango conducted a brief Q&A with the legendary model. Legendary fail.
Karl Lagerfeld, Travolta And The Massages
June 1st, 2012 by kpriss
A massage by Heidi Klum was auctioned off at this year’s amfAR charity Gala (among other, just as interesting, items / gestures). However, since the entire world revolves around der Kaiser, here’s what Karl Lagerfeld thought about the massage issue: “I hate massage and I don’t believe in a massage. I hate to be touched.”. Before you ask – no, he doesn’t give massages either. Why? “I’m not John Travolta.” It takes one to know one… {theCut}
Diane Kruger Wears Pink Converse Sneakers. For French Open
May 31st, 2012 by kpriss
While she turned some serious heads by wearing really glamorous dresses on the Cannes Red Carpet, Diane Kruger knows when to lay her fashion profile low and show some really good genes in more wearable (for us, mere mortals) attire.
Attending the French Open, Diane Kruger and her longtime boyfriend, Joshua Jackson, coordinated their looks and wore similar, casual outfits. The key element here is jeans. If next fall is for leather, this summer is definitely all denim!
Diane paired her washed out jeans mini dress (could be denim, could be plain cotton, but it sure is cute) with high top pink Converse sneakers and a hat to fancy up the ensemble. Joshua preferred an equally washed denim shirt and jeans. You know I love a good matchy couple!

Pixar’s Merida Dress For Sale
May 31st, 2012 by kpriss
As you fully know (and try to cope with me) by now: I’m really not into trailers / spoilers! We love our movies firsthand and if you do too, I won’t spoil it for you! But I read so many news titles daily that it’s nearly impossible to avoid bits and pieces of information about the movies I want to see next.
Such is the case with Pixar’s new animated adventure this year: Brave! I’m looking forward to it, more so since I know it’s about an unusual Princess, Merida. A Brave Princess, on my own heart, also the first female – lead character in a Pixar movie so far!
June 22 – save the date! It’s when we’ll finally get to meet Merida, the Princess who is Brave before being pretty! But leave it to classic marketing to twist that with a simple advertorial message: “Merida’s Dress: Look pretty and be brave, too”. Oh, come on? Do we really need to put beauty first? Always? (thank you, Jezebel for scanning that Target catalog page! On a side note, Merida herself isn’t too fond of the blue dress as seen in the trailer after the jump!)
