One of the most surprising piece of news from last week was Katie filing for divorce from Tom Cruise. We were more or less convinced, at the beginning of TomKat, that something wasn’t right. And here she is, five years later, filing from divorce.

Some say she seems to be growing wings now that she senses freedom is near. Some say that Scientology people trail her every move. Who are we to know everything that’s going on? Just bystanders. As such, we have the advantage of being able to think outside the heat wave and remember a Dawson’s Creek moment, almost defining for Katie Holmes: “On My Own”. Seeing Kristen Stewart’s finalized ad campaign for Balenciaga’s Florabotanica’s perfume I realized I have yet to understand the world’s fascination for Kristen (who is holding firm to her unique expression, as expected). Slightly photoshopped; also as expected. Remember Jennifer Connely’s Balenciaga 2008 ad? Wasnt’s she wearing the same dress? Wow! How’s that for a coincidence? The day I decided to break my Katie Holmes – fashion silence is the very day the news broke everywhere about the Holmes – Cruise divorce!

As it was actually confirmed by their respective representatives, Katie Holmes filed for divorce from her husband of nearly six years (and father of her daughter, Suri), Tom Cruise. Although rumor has it that Katie wanted to step away from Tom’s shadow and concentrate on her career (they’re trying to revive Dawson’s Creek?) but the most interesting fact is that Tom Cruise, at his third divorce already, separated from all his wives (Mimi Rogers, Nicole Kidman and now Katie) when they were 33 year old. It must be a Science – thing, huh?

Emma Stone who is currently intensively promoting the new Spider Man movie (The Amazing Spider – Man co starring her real life boyfriend, Andrew Garfield) just delivered us a case of perfect Chanel at the Los Angeles premiere.

Marvelously balanced, Emma Stone in Chanel Resort 2013 looks like a life size doll. She paired the baroque embroidered dress with Christian Louboutin spiked heels (to edge things up a bit). Whoever her stylist is, his / her job is masterfully executed as I can’t remember Emma making many fashion faux pas… Can you?

Dahlings! As you may have heard already, Men Fashion Week was the main fash – event this month. Remember I expressed my concern about men fashion in more than one occasion, so when it comes to that, I try to keep a reasonable distance. And all that inside a magazine covered by what appears to be a woman with dubious fashion sense and serious motherhood issues who placed her (or someone else’s) baby in a briefcase!
