Louis Vuitton’s Polka Dots Yayoi Kusama Collection
July 12th, 2012 by kpriss
I’ll always be fascinated by how Marc Jacobs finds and defines his style. While he seems to be the complete opposite of exclusivist Tom Ford, Marc Jacobs’ keeps adding step after step on the pedestal of his popularity. His name only goes up and his designs only go off of the racks. I think.
Or at least that’s what he’s aiming to do with every collection. Now he’s into some polka dots craze and because he wasn’t convincing enough on his own, he engaged 83yo Yayoi Kusama, an eminent Japanese artist, in his fashion endeavors.

Ferragamo’s Overphotoshopped Kate Moss Returns For Fall 2012 Video Campaign
July 12th, 2012 by kpriss
When we talked about Salvatore Ferragamo’s Fall 2012 ad campaign and especially about Kate Moss looking all too young (due to intensive use of Photoshop), you weren’t shocked. Too much.
And why would you? It’s such casual talk – rejuvenating one’s appearance with just a few swift, well placed mouse moves! A fountain of youth is just a click away! But enough about that, here’s Kate Moss, the forever young, starring in Salvatore Ferragamo’s Fall 2012 Video Ad Campaign. Looking marvelous as usual, every inch a Diva, every inch a fake Diva!

Edward Norton Between Bourne Legacy And The Signature Center
July 10th, 2012 by kpriss
Edward Norton, my dahlings! If this isn’t turning my boiling blood into honey, than that wall decal was for nothing. Did you know that Edward Norton hasn’t quit acting?
More so, did you know that Edward Norton was involved in something bigger than acting the last couple of years? Or… did you know that Edward Norton is a fan of Anna Wintour? I didn’t! I was really tempted to believe that his big years are gone and he had gone missing in some dark despair, something in the genre of “The Artist”. Because, after seeing The Avengers this year, I was even more convinced that Edward Norton as The Hulk was an epic fail.

Lara Stone’s Calvin Klein’s Fall 2012 Ad Campaign Is So Classy. Not
July 10th, 2012 by kpriss
Lara Stone continues to be a Calvin Klein exclusive, representing for the label in the Fall Winter 2012 2013 ad campaign. Predictable. I would’ve said the same any other day. But today, something’s changed. My attention, usually seduced only by smiling faces and joyful sightings has caught the revolutionary bug.
And I don’t, for the life of me, understand the kind of visuals promoted in Calvin Klein’s Fall 2012 ad campaign. Who are they selling this concept to? Wealthy middle – aged (or more) men looking for easy adventures? The kind of love a credit card can buy?

Called the Statue of Liberty Writing Instrument, of which only 50 were made (one of each State), this special Montblanc pen has 750 solid gold fittings in a design inspired by Eiffel’s very own Statue of Liberty. Because, you know, gold makes you smarter. Wittier. Duh! {Out}
