Chanel Beautyfies The Olympics With London Pop Up Store

This Summer’s main event (at least as far as the Old Continent goes) is the Summer Olympics as hosted by the exquisite, most amazing city of London. Everyone gets a piece of the action. Even Chanel is opening a Chanel Beauty Outlet (in Covent Garden’s Market Building) with cosmetics stands, manicure salon as well as complete fragrance stands. Because exercising causes extreme depletion of Chanel 5 body levels! {HintMag}

Dolce & Gabbana For Kids: Dolce & Gabbana Bambino Fall 2012 Ad Campaign

Although I don’t talk much about it, I have a true fondness for Dolce & Gabbana’s style and brand image. Their familiar philosophy centers around the easy, natural charm of everyday living with a couture spin.

If they wanted to, they’d turn a tablecloth into a highly sensual dress! Anyway, being a couples & babies day, what better campaign than Dolce & Gabbana Bambino Fall Winter 2012 2013 as photographed by Giampaolo Sgura (starring Bianca Balti and Enrique Palacios)?

Lagerfeld Replaced Giabiconi With Choupette!

Like I said, couples & such… We haven’t heard much about Baptiste Giabiconi since his rumored relationship with Katy Perry. However, I think it’s safe to say that der Kaiser has replaced him with Choupette: Karl Lagerfeld’s latest Chanel Couture Collection was allegedly inspired by his lovely cat’s eyes! Catfight, anyone? {GraziaDaily}

Weekend Time, Couples & Babies Time! Drew Barrymore’s Baby Bump, Blake & Ryan Married

So my dahlings! Yesterday was all Bastille & national debates, today let’s keep it in the family. Have you noticed how most weekends we have either a baby bump announcement or a new baby arrival? It would appear to be a trend, so let’s keep up!

As our dear friend, Riana, slipped me the news the other day, I tried to focus on the gossip media to see if they’ll be an official confirmation. Not yet. But I’m spilling it anyway: Penelope Cruz is pregnant again with her (and husband’s Javier Bardem) second child. Congrats (if proven accurate, biensur! She’s been “pregnant” so many times before, I feel like the boy who cried wolf!)

Speaking of confirmations: Drew Barrymore who kept mum about her being or not being pregnant, seems to be undeniably pregnant. For someone who’s not officially pregnant. (this, my dahlings, could very well be her first baby’s bump with husband Will Kopelman. If ever confirmed)

Mark Jenkins’ Lacoste Perfume Street Campaign

Getting back to Bastille Day: Mark Jenkins worked with French fashion & more label, Lacoste for a special kind of advertising campaign. One that will involve the street that Mark Jenkins is so fond of (Mark is a well – known American artist with a penchant for street installations).

Below, an example of Lacoste’s box sealing tape tennis player and how popular he became among the French people. A true national treasure! By Lacoste. (it took me a while to understand what were those colorful fragments inside the statue – perfume bottles! Or so it looks like. I wonder if anyone was curious enough as to dig into the statue to free the fragrance containers…Oh, and I also wonder what was written on the statue’s “made in” label! wink)

Ralph Lauren’s Olympic Team Uniforms: Made In China Label, A National Threat

Talking about National matters… I know, I know, it doesn’t have much to do with Bastille Day, but still.. Have you heard about the political outrage around the US Olympic Team? It’s about their uniforms: Ralph Lauren proudly designed the garments on US soil but the industrial process per se was located in China. ‘If they have to wear nothing but a singlet saying USA on it painted by hand, that’s what they should do.’ Them fiery politicians know no fashion! Pfff! {npr}

Serge Gainsbourg & Brigitte Bardot Bonnie & Clyde {Happy Bastille Day!}

Happy Bastille Day, mes très chères! Bastille Day, France’s Fête Nationale is brought to us this year by the legendary Serge Gainsbourg duet with the absolute blonde bombshell Brigitte Bardot. Bonnie and Clyde, the story told in French in some forgotten basement perfumed with abundant cigarette smoke.

It was the fashion, back in ’68. Did you know it was Bastille Day today? If so, what are your plans for the day? If not, what are your plans for the weekend? (Bastille or no Bastille, I hope you’ll have an amazing, peaceful weekend!)

A Serious Case Of Breaking Bad: Aaron Paul Is Jesse Pinkman

My dahlings! Every now and then you’ll hear me talk about some favorite TV series or one of the recent movies we’ve seen. As such, you heard me pleading in favor of Breaking Bad a couple of times before. Haven’t you?

Here’s Aaron Paul. He’s costarring Bryan Cranston in the above mentioned TV drama and, guess what? He’ll be unemployed soon! Because, my dahlings, after four amazing, soul shattering years, Breaking Bad is at its final (fifth) season! Of which the first episode (out of 16, split in two segments) airs this very Sunday, July 15! (the story continues right after the jump!)
