Colorful Sneakers OTZ Suede Chukka Sneakers
August 16th, 2012 by kpriss
For so many years you’ve seen me praising all kinds of colorful finds. This time it’s no different. I came across this really beautiful pair of sneakers: OTZ Suede Chukka Sneakers.
Three colors are available, all of them beautiful from the lace down to the CORKfit foodbed through their weather – resistant suede! They’re $175, currently available at Opening Ceremony. (oh and you know what OTZ stands for? Oetzi the iceman! Researchers found the oldest shoes ever on Oetzi the iceman! Cool, huh?) Colors make the world go round!
Anna Sui’s Home
August 15th, 2012 by kpriss
Just one image from a notorious Fashion Designer’s home is enough to tell if that home really reflects their personality or it was just decorated by some A – list interior decorator. Today’s designer is Anna Sui.
Eric Boman took some very evocative pictures of the designer’s home for Elle Décor. As far as I can tell, the home really matches the designer like a glove! And the best part of the house? Anna Sui’s closet (see it after the jump)! It’s like walking in a bazaar, not a closet! Now I know why she wants her models to smile on the catwalk all the time – you can’t be gloomy with a wardrobe like that, can you?

Dressing Up At Home. It’s Fashionable According To Vogue Italia!
August 15th, 2012 by kpriss
What do you wear in the comfort of your own home? I admit, I’m not the most fashionable in the crowd! Between sweatpants (it’s because I believe in working out while you’re doing your daily chores – wink) and torn t – shirts (it’s because I’m such a rocker at heart – wink), it’s hard to decide where my fashion vibe grows stronger…
But I think it’s in the stylish holes in my trashed out tops (some have the same age as my eldest kid). Vogue Italia’s August 2012 main pictorial is all about “Dressing up with nowhere to go”. Models wearing their most glamorous (although I’d have some objections to that…) in the intimacy of their own kitchen.
Ridley Scott Produced Lady Gaga’s Fame Video
August 14th, 2012 by kpriss
Do you remember the times when Marilyn Manson was doing these edged – up videos that wouldn’t play on music channels but after a certain hour of the day? Oh, boy! It seems like another life altogether!
Now I was in some waiting room, waiting (duh!) and the TV in the corner was on some music channel. For the 30 minutes or so I waited there, I don’t recall seeing any female participant at or singing in a music video with a complete set of clothes on (pants, top etcetera). They were all singing in their undies! Pardon my lack of TV / musical culture, but compared to that, Marilyn Manson was a shy schoolboy!
I’ll cut this short, I fear my kids will read me one of these days and cease to communicate with me, labeling me with “antique” and moving on. But really? Lady Gaga’s Fame? Puh-lease! Don’t tell me you’re taking her seriously! Janet Jackson’s videos were better, and that’s from 16 years ago! Where’s the evolution? Where’s the riot of the new generation’s music revolution? Here, you know what? I’ll get over the disappointment of seeing Ridley Scott’s name in this (his label produced the video). After the jump, watch Scream! And then think Gaga is changing things around with her Fame… (oh, and if you think you can take edgy, you can try your hand with a little taste of old – school edge with Marilyn Manson’s Beautiful People here)
Michael Phelps For Louis Vuitton Core Values Campaign
August 14th, 2012 by kpriss
It’s been a while since we last talked about Louis Vuitton’s Core Values Ad Campaigns (since Angelina?). Now, a day after the 2012 Olympics Closing Ceremony, we’re treated with an interesting campaign starring none the other but the most decorated Olympian of them all: Michael Phelps.
US’ most notorious swimmer was photographed by Annie Leibovitz for the Louis Vuitton Core Values Ad Campaign both in his natural, Olympian element (water) and on a dusty bourgeois – like couch, in a friendly chat with another Olympic legend, Larisa Latynina, now 77 year-old but still holding the record for winning most individual medals in her gymnast years, representing the former Soviet Union: 18 gold medals between the years 1956 and 1964, as the NY Daily News reports.

August 14th, 2012 by kpriss
In the spirit of their collaboration with Virgin (you know, the uniforms and the uniformes – inspired collection), Banana Republic is trying their hand at a travel – flavored ad campaign for fall winter 2012 2013. Jourdan Dunn and Noah Mills are here to show us just how exactly you’re supposed to travel in perfect fashion and exquisite style. The pictures look lovely and the clothes as well. We have our heading: Fashion Week is near! {BeautyisDiverse}
Salma Hayek Recycles Gucci Dress For Vogue Germany September 2012 Cover
August 14th, 2012 by kpriss
So everybody’s gearing up for heavy fashion issues once September magazines arrive. Vogue Germany September 2012 cover makes is hard to understand where the fashion is… While looking like a carbon copy of Vogue US, putting Salma Hayek on the cover only makes us think of her famous husband.
Because, you know, Salma Hayek’s husband is the CEO of PPR (mother company of Gucci, Stella McCartney, AlexanderMcQueen, YSL, Bottega Veneta and so many others) and, coincidentally, I’m certain, she’s wearing a midnight blue sequined Gucci dress on the cover. I know, I know, it looks black on our end (that’s how much they twisted and turned the darn photo in Photoshop!) but I can assure you it’s midnight blue with black ornaments – how do I know? Well, simply because Salma wore it before! At a Cannes dinner back in May, as you’ll see after the jump!

Zoe Saldana Replacing Mary J. Blige As Nina Simone For Nina Biopic Movie?
August 14th, 2012 by kpriss
My dahlings? Have you heard the latest movie – rumor? It involves Zoe Saldana, one of my favorite actresses right now (and one of the most beautiful, might I add!) and Nina Simone, one of my favorite songbirds ever! (and one of the most troubled too) Rumor has it that Zoe is headed to “Nina”, the biopic movie about the one and only Nina Simone. Although I’m puzzled since imbd indicates Mary J. Blige for the role… {itsonthegrid, imdb}
