After many weeks of speculations, Jessica Chastain’s Yves Saint Laurent Manifesto perfume ad campaign is now available. Shot by Mert & Marcus, the campaign promotes that same feeling of women empowerment through creativity and art, using substantial financial means.

The perfume reportedly smells like sandalwood (mainly) but my main question is why does it talk about Yves Saint Laurent and not Saint Laurent? Isn’t the beauty aisle of YSL suffering the same rebranding process as the rest of the maison? (subsequently becoming Saint Laurent Paris?) Some of you may have heard of him. Some of you may even be his faithful readers / followers. Others just distant admirers or – why not – acquaintances. In one way or the other, BryanBoy has touched many lives.

(but isn’t it what we all do?) You know what I was saying earlier? About my Fashion Week spirit being crushed by recent events? Well, you can count BryanBoy’s alleged “exposure” being one of them. Because, you know, hearing that maybe, possibly, one of the bloggers that marked the Blogging Generation is a fraud doesn’t brighten up your day. This has more value as a gadget than anything else! In an era of anything – tech, a pair of shoes with embedded GPS seems the next logical step further (pun intended). Dominic Wilcox was reportedly commissioned by the Global Footprint project in Northamptonshire to do these prototypes that could, eventually, help you find your way back home (the LEDs indicate the direction to the previously uploaded destination). I was quietly minding my amateur critic business when, all of a sudden, Fashion Week turned into some kind of boxing ring! What’s going on, people? Why the tension? Why does everybody snap over a show review, over a front row seat?

It totally ruined the Fashion Week spirit for me. That’s why I’ve been going so slow on Fashion Shows (read: stopped altogether) lately. Oscar de la Renta got into a fight with Cathy Horyn (over her calling him a hot dog) while some PR people got into some physical fights for front row seats at Zac Posen’s show.

Really? It’s that what Fashion Week is all about now? I thought seating Front Row was so yesterday and that the freedom of speech was something we settled hundred of years ago with the First Amendment!

Awww! Look at how cute they are together! The firs images of the surprise newlyweds Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds taken just days after their top – secret wedding ceremony have surfaced. And they look all lovey – dovey and happy! Good for them, may their marriage be always like this!

Also, we can notice the rings on Blake’s finger. And my, are they impressive or what? I’m no specialist when it comes to jewelry myself, but maybe some of you out there are? The engagement rock is downright huge! Hit to jump to take a closer look!

What? You weren’t expecting otherwise, I hope? November is closing in fast, they had to do something, right? (November is when the latest installment of the Twilight saga premieres on the big screen) Plus, I can imagine the financial strain they would’ve put on the organizers if they were to travel separately! (that’s ironic, duh! but it is what the organizers said they feared.)

During the last two weeks, contradictory reports have been circulating, ever since Kristen herself talked to the press at the TIFF, implying that she and Robert Pattinson were “totally fine”.
