Here’s Anne Hathaway’s Valentino Wedding Dress!
October 30th, 2012 by kpriss
It’s a beautifully bridal fall this year! Remember that foggy, unclear image of Anne Hathaway’s wedding dress? Well, here’s a better view at the said gown, as stories about her wedding day have been printed by US Weekly Magazine and Life & Style magazine.
A month ago, Anne Hathaway got married with jewelry designer Adam Shulman (who she’s dating since 2008). The bride had extremely short hair but that didn’t stop her from looking heavenly. Of course the delicate lace headpiece and the beautiful veil helped. (not to mention her amazing smile!) But most importantly, Anne Hathaway’s Valentino wedding dress really complimented her. Happiness is written all over her face and I hope that’s how it stays ever after! (images USmagazine; Life&Stylemagazine)

You know, despite my love for bow ties (and funny ties in general), I never faced the real ordeal perfecting the move until the kids went to school. Almost every morning, I have knotting to do. And let me tell you, it ain’t peanuts! That’s why I love ready – made bow ties! But what to do when you have a bow to knot yourself? Well, you just follow the steps below! {theHillsSideOfficial via}
Kate Upton’s Seductive Vogue Italia November 2012 Cover
October 29th, 2012 by kpriss
In case you missed it, Kate Upton is the ultimate pin – up, model and whatnot for every fashion magazine out there. Thing is, you see, that beyond Kate’s natural beauty, she happened to drop at the exact right time when everyone keeps ripping apart the size 0 fashion controversy by taking steps into the normal size direction. (this time in Vogue Italia November 2012, as photographed by Steven Meisel)
All that sounds great, except Kate isn’t exactly your average normal – sized girl. She comes with special curves in all the right places (doesn’t she look like Anna Nicole Smith’s long lost twin?). So I really have to wonder what’s worse: keeping the size 0 everyone is already used to seeing or pushing in a ‘normal figure’ only with exceptional physical features?
Why do women have to feel frustrated every single time they pick up a fashion magazine? I’m sure if they wanted their silhouette expectations to meet the Playboy levels of excellence, women would’ve done something to make that work by now… Instead, the number of breast DD enhancement surgeries keeps going down. And a “Seductive” cover title across a loud Playboy – ish cover certainly won’t help. Boy, do I miss Lara’s controversial Vogue Paris spreads?! At least they were trying to keep her fashion allegiance straight.
Natalia Vodianova’s Vogue UK December Pop Cover
October 29th, 2012 by kpriss
Natalia Vodianova covering Vogue UK December 2012 and looking all normal while doing it doesn’t do the Vogue trick for me. I really wanted a festive cover. Something that really goes pop beyond Technicolor words on an average cover. Oh, and what’s with the One Direction thing written there? Boosting Vogue sales through tweens and teens? Better have a strong inside, because the cover pushes me in One Direction only: far. Away. From. The. Newsstands. {Vogue}
Daniel Craig’s James Bond Skyfall Jacket: Barbour Beacon Heritage Waxed
October 29th, 2012 by kpriss
I had my eyes on a certain Barbour waxed jacket for a while now. I was even ready to send a lot of letters to Santa starting next month, telling him just how nice and good we’ve been and how much we love Barbour jackets.
And then Skyfall happened. Much like any classic British gentleman, mr Bond is also a fan of Barbour. And although he likes his suits tailored chez Tom Ford, when it comes to nice country retreats, James Bond keeps it traditional with a Barbour waxed jacket. And who am I to complain? I’m a fan as well. I just wish Santa would see it too?
But now I’m guessing that even Santa would have a hard time tracking this particular Barbour Heritage Waxed Jacket as ever since Mr James Bond (Daniel Craig) worn it in Skyfall, it’s a sellout in every Barbour store worldwide. And that just in a matter of days from the world premiere. Note to whoever thinks 007 is outdated and outfashioned! Or Barbour for that matter! {images Barbour; Greg Williams; via}
Homeland’s Damian Lewis Style – Profiled In GQ Magazine
October 29th, 2012 by kpriss
We talked so much about Claire Danes and my Homeland related issues that it was only fair I brought up Damian Lewis one day. Also Homeland – related. He’s been profiled by GQ Magazine and the Ben Watts photos only help in reminding us all that Damian goes way further than showing the versatility of a bomber jacket. Even further than Marine Sgt Nicholas Brody… {gq}
Bond Girl Inspired Outfit: 007 Shades Of Gray & Camel
October 29th, 2012 by kpriss
My dahlings! We talked last week about James Bond and the latest installment of the 007 legend. And, most notably, about the Bond Girls. I had to peak into the trailers (and I read so many Bond titles lately – it’s hard to go blind when everyone’s talking 007) so now I feel like I already saw the movie!
Today I want to talk about one of the Bond Girls: Naomie Harris. I like her ever since she pirated alongside Johnny Depp, so it wouldn’t surprise me to like her just as much as a Bond girl. One of her outfits (at least what I could catch from the trailers) involves a camel jacket and a washed out pants number. Pretty much like what you’re seeing below.
So there goes my inspiration for today’s gray & camel outfit: Bond Girl Naomie Harris. Or Eve, like they call her in the Sam Mendes – directed movie. (as always, if you need exact details about the items in this set, you can always check them out freely here)
Justin Bieber’s New Tattoo: An Owl
October 29th, 2012 by kpriss
Everyone gets to mark Halloween with a special celebration. More or less lasting. Justin Bieber is in his hotheaded years, when sealing it all with a tattoo seems like the right thing to do. Oh well. Here’s Justin Bieber’s last tattoo: an Owl! Very Halloween appropriate. Looking forward for next year’s bat ink (wink). {instagram}
