Because H & M likes pioneering pretty much in fashion’s every commercial field and also because it’s that time of the year when ‘giving’ is l’ordre du jour, I thought I’d ask you if you’re joining the I:Collect H&M global initiative. We just talked about Christy Turlington as you know she’s an all time favorite model of mine. And I remember I saw some really beautiful pictures of Liya Kebede somewhere. Today I searched for them because, much like Christy, Liya is also one of the models I love and admire the most.

This pictorial was masterfully executed by Ben Hassett and included in Numero France’s November 2012 issue. You may already label it ‘so yesterday’. But when it comes to Liya, in my mind, nothing’s yesterday.

I signaled Sienna Miller’s comeback in the fashion eye a little while back when we talked about Matthew Williamson’s anniversary video. So there she goes on the cover of Harper’s Bazaar UK January 2013, confirming what I was just speculating about. A new – found, new and improved Sienna Miller, toujours retro & lovely but more alive & involved. Oh, children are such miracles! {harpersbazaar}

Not only did she have one of the most beautiful, fairy – tale like weddings, but Jessica Biel seems to be one of the fashion editors’ sweetheart. They’re always trying to cast their best light on her, always keeping her pretty, dolled up and fancied up.

And Elle January 2013 did an amazing job at dolling Jessica Biel. With a little help from some of the world’s most talented designers, a wonderful pictorial has come to life. Not many girls would’ve pulled this off. Maybe Gwinnie? And Marion?

But Jessica has that newlywed quality that draws crowds like a magnet. I really loved her picture with JP Gaultier. Oh, and the one with Giambattista Valli as well. (click here for the gallery!)

So this is it! Gisele Bundchen finally gave birth to her second child with husband Tom Brady! And it’s a girl! Vivian was born Wednesday night – no word about how it all went down (first time, Gisele chose to waterbirth) and no further details are available. You’d think it’s hard for Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen to come up with yet another hit – bag! Especially on the verge of the Fiscal Cliff, huh? Think again. There’s no tax increase or decrease that’ll stop the Olsen twins from producing a mass hit bag!

12 such miracle Pill backpacks have been reportedly produced and, for the occasion, The Row enlisted the help of Damien Hirst who took it upon himself to ‘meticulously’ perform the multicolored pill appliqué on the front and the straps of the backpack.

Sure, fashion needed Kate Upton. Sure, she’s a breath of fresh air among skinny models and size 0 boundaries. But is Kate Upton the new aesthetic? Is she the new beauty must? Or just a stand in for Lara Stone who seems to concentrate more on her family life than on her fashion career? To me, this retro – looking Vogue UK January 2013 is not a fashion revolution but a pale shade of vintage. {tFS}

It seems Carla Bruni gathered her friends for her guest – edited Vogue Paris December 2012 issue. Christy Turlington was photographed by Inez and Vinoodh for the occasion and I couldn’t be happier!

We hardly get to see Christy in fashion magazines spreads these days and especially in high profile ones such as Vogue. Some of the images work for my perception on Christy, some don’t, so don’t be surprised if you’ll see more scans at the lovely passionate tFS people!
