Monica Bellucci’s Ageless Beauty In Vanity Fair Spain February 2013
January 22nd, 2013 by kpriss
Talking about Photoshop and retouching somebody beyond recognition: Monica Bellucci’s legendary appeal doesn’t seem to have aged a day in her Vanity Fair Spain February 2013 pictorial.
The same smoky, beautiful eyes, the same perfect pout: Monica Bellucci remained – as we all remember her – flawlessly feminine and seductive. Although I’m not familiar with her recent movie works, she doesn’t need an excuse to do a magazine feature. The timeless approach of Norman Jean Roy’s VF Spain photographs capture Monica’s irresistible charm in all its distant & aristocrat Latin beauty.
Emma Watson Unrecognizable In New Overphotoshopped Lancome Campaign
January 22nd, 2013 by kpriss
As much as I love Lancome, I fail to understand their marketing strategy. They must have one, right? Their products are so good (at least their mascara is and I’m sure that those of you using Lancome beauty products / cosmetics can testify to that and beyond) but their marketing is so bad!
Why, oh why do you keep on over photoshopping your ads? The purpose of using a famous person in your ads, Lancome, is to recognize that particular person. What good from photoshopping someone beyond recognition? Where’s the celebrity trigger? Gone, gone, gone!
Emma Watson’s new Lancome ad campaign is a perfect example to all the above: they overretouched Emma to the point where she doesn’t look like herself anymore but more like a plastic cgi rendition bearing a distant resemblance to the famous Emma Watson.

First Lady Michelle Obama’s Inauguration Ball Jason Wu Red Dress
January 21st, 2013 by kpriss
‘Ladies and Gentlemen, my better half and my dance partner, Michelle Obama!” that’s how the 44th President of the United States invited his First Lady to the Inauguration Ball First Dance tonight! And they make such a dream team!
Dancing to Jennifer Hudson’s interpretation of Al Green’s ‘Let’s Stay Together’, Barack Obama and Michelle Obama looked as happy as the next couple in love, doing their first dance (you can watch them in the video, after the jump). That’s how amazing they are – they make it look so effortless and beautiful! Thank you!
Now: the dress! Michelle Obama’s Inauguration Ball red dress was signed by Jason Wu. Surprised much?

12 Amazing Looks From Dior Spring 2013 Couture Collection
January 21st, 2013 by kpriss
So here we are, a day further into the Haute Couture Spring 2013 season, talking about Raf Simons’ creations for Christian Dior’s Spring 2013 Couture collection.
As news about Dior’s former creative, John Galliano fly around, settling him in Oscar de la Renta’s design chair, Raf Simons’ path chez Dior seems paved with flowers. Official reviews haven’t been penned yet, but surely this collection, as the ones before, will receive a warm and enthusiastic fashion welcome.
And in all justice, for the collection is particularly feminine and elegant, as you’ll see for yourself from the 12 looks I’ve picked to discuss about. Here they come, in no particular order: (images Marcus Tondo / InDigitalteam / GoRunway; styledotcom)

Beyonce Sings National Anthem In Black Pucci Dress, Inauguration Day
January 21st, 2013 by kpriss
When I first heard that Beyonce was going to perform at the second Presidential Inauguration, I was a bit disappointed by the cliché presidential choice (Beyonce performed for the First Inauguration Ball too). Then again, who were they to invite to sing the National Anthem? Unapologetic Rihanna? Puhlease!
So Beyonce joined the newly sworn in President Barack Obama, the First Family and everyone else on the Inauguration Platform and, visibly nervous, mastered her emotions and her tears and started singing (you can watch her perform after the jump).

Michelle Obama Wears Thom Browne Blue Coat Dress On Inauguration Day
January 21st, 2013 by kpriss
As we’re still waiting for the official proceedings to begin up on the Capitol Hill, Michelle Obama started this beautiful Inauguration Day in yet another blue outfit (she was wearing blue for the private Swearing In ceremony that took place yesterday, January 20th at the White House).
Traditionally attending the morning service at St. John’s Episcopal Church, the President, Barack Obama and the First Lady, Michelle Obama wore matching blue looks and the First Daughters, Sasha and Malia were dressed in shades of purple from Kate Spade and JCrew, respectively.
Jason Wu Joins Leggy Stephanie Seymour In Spring 2013 Campaign
January 21st, 2013 by kpriss
Talking about legendary models – we saw Stella Tennant earlier, in the Versace Atelier Spring 2013 collection (Kristen McMenamy opened the show), but nothing matches the flawlessness that is Stephanie Seymour!
Her appearance in the Jason Wu Spring Summer 2013 Ad Campaign was a real delight. But that doubled when a second image from the campaign was released. One where not only Stephanie Seymour was in, but also Jason Wu himself!
9 Dresses That Rocked Versace Atelier Couture Spring 2013 Collection
January 21st, 2013 by kpriss
The Haute Couture shows are in! It’s time for some spectacular, dazzling, mind spinning fashion moments! And although some notable absents were announced this season (no Givenchy, no Dior Couture, I even heard something about McQueen not doing Couture either), Atelier Versace Spring 2013 rocked the catwalk.
Fierce models showed equally spectacular designs penned straight from Donatella Versace’s imagination. The clothes looked more like painted on than sew on, the fabric offered a bubblegum ethereal perspective over the current state of style in the fashion industry.
Now let’s discuss the 9 dresses I picked up from the Atelier Versace Spring 2013 Collection, in no particular order. (images Marcus Tondo/ InDigitalteam / GoRunway; styledotcom)
